My young son was referred because of his cross bite. He was nervous, but he relaxed quickly after being greeted by the kindest technicians and assistants. Everyone was calm, sincerely happy and very apt dealing with children. Dr Ostler was also kind and very friendly. I received a lot of helpful information about his cross bite. They were knowledgable and spent time to answer all my questions.

They are all so fast and efficient! I got braces two days ago and am already noticing changes in my teeth!

I paid for Dr Ostler and his staff to install braces on my child's teeth. One day something went wrong with the braces. I scheduled a visit and brought my child to Ostler's office to get it fixed. As I often do with car mechanics and dentists, I asked that we discuss treatment proposals and options prior to proceeding. Rather, the first thing I knew, pliers were being used to pull a bracket off a tooth. I got up and said wait a second, what was being done? Dr. Ostler walked up at that moment, asked me to go sit in a room. Dr Ostler stated that he would terminate orthodontic treatment of my child, and he would give me names of other orthodontics dentists that we could go to. I declined. [I believed that terminating care in mid-procedure is both illegal and unethical.] This was nakedly adversarial. We left. My spouse later phoned them. My spouse took my daughter to the balance of the visits to Dr Ostler, as Ostler staff asked that I not accompany my child there. We recommend that you do your own diligence on procedures recommended by Dr Ostler (or any service provider). Example: I never heard Dr Ostler mention that Invisalign can achieve a lower peak tooth force and movement rate (meaning that it is safer, with less risk of bone loss and less risk of triggering the body to dissolve a tooth, according to other dentists).
