Story

Family-owned and operated by two brothers, Ozel Jewelers originated from Istanbul, Turkey. In the Kapalicarsi Grand Bazaar, quickly finding and controlling a niche in the jewelry manufacturing market, Ozels was one of the nearly 2,700 businesses providing goods and services under one roof. At the ages of 16 and 12, Abraham and Joe, the young and ambitious brothers, followed their dream to travel to America and open a fine jewelry manufacturing company. Since 1975 the two brothers revolutionized the business by successfully mass producing luxury quality jewelry faster than any other manufacturing company.

With four locations, the two brothers have fulfilled their dreams of becoming successful in America and setting a standard for fine quality jewelry. I have been a loyal customer for nearly 20 years (from back in the day at Redlands Mall). Jacob, Estee Greg and Robyn are family and fun this business that way.treat me and my family with such care and have treated us like we were their #1 customer. They will treat you this way, especially if you bring some food to share!!

My wife's 81 year old grandmother with dementia has been been routinely taken advantage of by this shop. She goes in just to browse or tp get an older item serviced and ends up buying tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary jewelry and watches. We have spoken to them about not selling her anymore jewelry. This poor old women may seem to have money to spend on a $20,000+ Rolex watch, but she really doesn't. She is on a fixed income and with every dollar they steal from her, she has less for food, medication, health care, etc. She ends up with huge credit card bills she can't pay or bounces other necessary checks because she doesn't remember spending such inordinate amounts of money at this shop. Not everyone in the Marina is rich. They are more interested in making sales (weekly!) to this old woman than helping to insure that she retains the necessary resources to grow old without financial difficulty. She has been sold a Rolex watch she can barely ever wear because of the sensitivity of her skin, numerous sets of diamond earrings, gold and diamond bracelets, etc. Oh, and a second Rolex watch. These people are despicable and we are looking into legal action!

Took my Mother's 77 yr old wedding set in, Mother's ring & another gold ring to have a new ring made at the Rancho location. Spent 3 hrs looking thru catalogs. Decided on a ring, "no problem", I had the main stone in the wedding set cut off for me to hold until time to set it. A few days later the sales lady called me wanted me to "see the ring". She had gotten the ring so I could see actual size. "The diamonds in the wedding set are all chips I can't do anything with those or the channel set ones in the earring, I can use the birthstones." Her sales pitch was she could make posts to put the diamonds on the ring along with the birthstones. Ruined the wedding set thinking her word was her word and she could make this ring happen. I loved the setting but I went in and got all my rings back and left. Misrepresented what kind of work "she" could do COMPLETELY, as the "chips" were in the wedding set, they should be able to be reset. It's not about chips or stones but sentimental value after losing my Mother. Any b.s. for a sale. Shameful. She also took some phone calls while I was deciding and I hope they weren't co-workers, incredibly rude over candles and their size, color. She should be THAT concerned with customers orders.
