I've been to different groomers for Peanut.. this is where it stops as Peanut was groomed and pampered like she should be.. the groomer took her time and patients to make sure Peanut was comfy with her. So I give her 5 stars because she truly cares about the dogs that she grooms.. With the deepest respect for peanuts new groomer. Thank you for taking care of her..
We took our 5-month old Cockapoo to this place for grooming today and are unhappy with the service received. We paid $90 for what looked a home haircut. We dropped our dog off at 10:05 am this morning and I came by at around 1:00 pm to see if she was ready. My dog was put in a cage and her grooming was already complete. The groomer mentioned it would take 2 hours and 3 hours had passed. When the groomer opened the door, she started complaining that the dog has separation anxiety, hard to work with and that she spent so much time on her. She is a puppy going for grooming the first time and never was put in a cage before, so this should have been expected. The groomer said she would need another half hour. I saw that the haircut was already complete at this point. I return around 2:00 and she says that the haircut took 4.5 hours, which isn’t even possible. We wanted her to leave more hair around the face and I see that others have complained below that the groomer does not do this. The groomer also did not check our dog’s vaccinations which a professional groomer is legally required to do. Overall, I would not recommend the experience. She tries to inflate the price by complaining that a dog is difficult to work with, that it took longer than it actually took and doesn’t give the type of haircut asked for. With all due respect, it was a bit much for $90.
We have been taking our dogs to Uta for 10 years now and have been very satisfied. Uta clearly cares for the dogs and does a wonderful job grooming them. It's easy to make an appointment and we've never had any problem or been disappointed in any way. Uta also lets us know if she notices anything out of the ordinary which is really helpful. We like Uta and, most importantly, our dogs really like Uta which says a lot about how she treats them. We wouldn't consider taking them anywhere else.
We have been going to the Pampered Pet for 26 years. We would not trust the care of our dog to anyone else even though we have to travel 120 km each way. Uta is very professional and treats our dog with love and gentleness. Uta knows how to cut and groom according to the breed. We also feel very secure in the knowledge that Buddy, our dog, will be in a safe and secure environment. We recommend the Pampered Pet 100%. We must add that Buddy loves the 5 star service. V. & A. We've been taking our dog to Pampered Pet for 5 years and could not be more pleased with the service. Our dog adores Uta and is excited to go there. The haircut is superb and Brussels Griffons have very unruly hair. Whoever posted the bad review probably mistook this The Pampered Pet for another with a similar name. There are quite few listed.
We have been taking our two dogs Wym and Wynk to The Pampered Pet since we moved to Toronto in 2003. After over ten years the dogs still love Uta owner and we have always been happy with their haircuts. We would highly recommend The Pampered Pet, and more importantly, so would our dogs!!
Thank you Uta for accommodating me and my little Cookie even though we were quite late one of those crazy morning! I'm really happy with her work and I noticed that my dog is not as sad as she used to be after her haircut. Definitely recommended!
It was my pets first time at Pet Grooming which I found on google as I live near by. My little cavapoo had haircut 6 month prior to that and was in ok condition with not too much tangles. I asked Uta I think was the lady’s name to brush her and cut only where it’s necessary leaving long hair especially around face. I repeated myself multiple times asking to leave as much hair. But when I came to pick up my dog the results i received was similar to hair cut we got last time after long winter wearing coats when the hair was really tangled. I got back a shaved mouse. I would expect if the job can not be done the way the customer wants, a phone call can be made to discuss and come and see the situation. I give 1 stars as I feel respect to people older than me but in other case i wouldn’t pay at all.
I love this place. She takes her time and does a great job. Our Coton de Tulear was a matted mess and she got him fixed up nicely. He is going through the change from puppy to adult fur and his fur is unmanageable like that ...Pampered Pet has a wonderful owner....she even gave us a ride home....we live close by!
We were loyal customers of the Pampered Pet until the day we missed an appointment. After many years of bringing our two dogs in for grooming, often three times a year, we missed an appointment. Well, the proprietor called our home and berated the first person who picked up the phone - our 13 year old daughter. She was in tears. We called back and the proprietor hung up on us. Completely unprofessional conduct.
