This is a beautiful Park in the heart of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The park itself is beautiful desert landscape. Also in the Park area there is the Desert Botanical Garden which is a great stop for anyone and one of the best Desert Botanical Gardens in the world. There is also the Phoenix Zoo here which is a world-class zoo and worth a visit if you enjoy going to them. It's also a great place to play games like Pokemon go as there are a lot of markers around. If you are vacationing in Arizona this is a great all-in-one stop where you can enjoy the desert landscape, the botanical garden and the zoo all within a convenient distance of each other.

This treeless bare "mountain" has decent views. It is a great place for a quick hike to clear your head. Just enough height to get your heart rate up, but no so much to tire you out. 360 views from the top are good. We did the hike in late December, weather was perfect. In the summer, it would be too hot with no shade.

Great stop for hikes and picnics! The hike to the hole in the wall is doable for all ages. It is a great hike to get your heart rate pumping and the views are fantastic. The picnic areas looks like an Oasis, ponds surrounded by palm trees, sand and shaded picnic tables. There are horse shoe pits and an open theater. Lots of ducks to feed in the pond. Very close to the airport, great stop to kill some time!

Very nice and interesting! Being from the northeast the desert southwest is very different, but lots of trails with plant and educational markings. Very interesting and enjoyable! We did the Desert Botanical Garden, a slow to moderate walk takes a couple hours. You could spend considerably more time if you really get into it. There are places to sit and relax. The staff is very helpful. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

We attended the Desert Botanical Gardens to see the gardens lit up at night. It was a wonderful experience with music and entertainment. I enjoyed photographing the desert plants during the day but we returned to enjoy the entertainment at night. We are from Los Angeles but the Desert Botanical Gardens are well worth the trip.
