I love this app and I use it all the time. I don't get the bad reviews because I have never had a problem and I agree with another review who states it wasn't the app that was nasty it was the garage. Now if you use it in NYC and think you can get there late, then that's on you. Most of us savvy NYers know to GET THERE early or ON time. Specially if you are going to the theater district.

It was a seamless transaction and very easy parking experience. I would recommend it and will definitely use it again. I will probably never go to NYC again without it.

I booked trough ParkWhiz and ended up having the attendant at my garage rudely turn me away. I called and explained my situation over the phone and got an instant refund and Parkwhiz offered to find me another parking spot. I dropped the call and when I called back, I got someone who would not help me even though I explained my circumstances. She kept telling me to book through the app and that she could not help me on the phone. I was happily surprised that it was so easy to get a refund! I am disappointed that it seems that you may book parking with someone who won't honor your reservation. Feels a little like Groupon in that regard. Probably will not use again!

Do not use ParkWhiz for NYC parking! I had 2 very bad experiences. It is difficult to find available parking at lots in NYC, so I pre-booked with ParkWhiz twice and both times I got to the lot and there was no spots available in the lot. This last time the city was very crowded and I just had enough time to park and get to where I was going. No spots available. They gave me an alternative place to park, but it would have taken me another 15 minutes to get there and who knows if they had availability. ParkWhiz did give me a refund, but the aggravation was not worth it. I will never use them again. Maybe they work in other places, but in NYC it was a double disaster.
