Bonjour! Patrick’s Bakery & Cafe serves delicious French cuisine in our patisserie, and the finest baked goods & desserts in the Twin Cities area.

Story

At Patrick’s Restaurant & Cafe our philosophy is very clear: a great meal is an emotional experience and we at Patrick’s try to make it an extraordinary one by creating beautiful pastries, exquisite dinners and lunches, wonderful breakfasts, artisan’s breads and warm cozy location that is inviting with a staff that cares about our important customers. Our chefs are bound by the same principles; therefore, no detail or element can be less important or more important than another in creating great meals, pastries, or breads.

It is our intention to take our valued customer through a French journey of culinary delight that awakens the senses, captures the imagination, inspires with places you haven’t been before and leaves joyous memories. Because a great meal never fills you up it leaves a “Want” for the next time. It is this “Want” that brings back our customers.

Food is great, the prices are reasonable for this type of restaurant. But the service has been bad the last three times I've been in. I sometimes go in by myself for a later lunch, and when I do go by myself, I am almost always ignored even when it's not busy. On my last visit, I had to actually wave to get someone to seat me after waiting for several minutes at the front, even though there were, at the time, a total of only 3 other booths of 2 each. I was seated and told a server would be there soon. Another server was taking care of the other booths, and I couldn't even catch her attention, as she walked with her head down, and looked horribly unhappy. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I saw the one that seated me come out of the kitchen, got her attention, and she came over and said "I'll take your order - what do you want?" I gave her both my drink and meal order, she left, and didn't take away the extra place setting. It was the host who finally brought my food out. There was no followup, no "how is everything" except for the one who apparently was supposed to be my server who came by and asked if the book I was reading was any good. I had ordered tea and rather than the silver pot of hot water, I just got a cup with the tea bag, about half filled with water. Again, I had to wave to get someone to get me more hot water. I not only did not feel like a welcome guest, I felt like I was a giant pain in the ass to both the servers and the host. I don't think I'll be going back.

Absolutely excellent food. Our waitress was extremely attentive to our needs. The manager even came to make sure everything was going good. We brought home dessert. Couldn't Walk away with out that. Must also add have been to several restaurants and this one is one that our food actually came steaming hot. Would highly recommend. Will definitely return. Even if just for a piece of dessert. Thanks for a great evening!

Love the food, but have been experiencing increasing problems with service. This time it was slow with excess staff, but still took 10 minutes before a server stopped by to ask if I'd been helped. I said no and ordered some wine while I waited for another person to join. The wine was placed on the bar a few minutes later. My date arrived about 15 minutes after I'd ordered wine but it had yet to be brought to the table. After a bit longer, my socializing server recalled the wine and brought it over when I asked for a fresh, chilled pour. He was flummoxed and left without asking for a drink order from the person joining the table. He chatted with the bar tender and proceeded to head to another part of the restaurant without returning to take a drink order from the new arrival. We left and had a nice dinner at Red Lobster just across the the parking lot! I've enjoyed and recommended Patricks many times. I enjoy the food and wish this was my first service issue. I'm looking forward to them improving their service.

My husband and I came in about 5pm Saturday night. We ordered a couple glasses of wine, appetizers, full meals and dessert. Wine selection was good. The food however? Beef borg had no flavor whatsoever and the lamb tasted like FISH. Literally, not a single bite tasted like lamb, but like I was eating red meat right out of a fish market. Dessert was amazing, except for the very cold espresso that was ordered with dessert. The server, Ashley seemed like she didn't care at all, neither did the manager. We left almost full plates of food and no one even asked if everything was ok. Our bill was over 100$ and we would have had a better meal at Wendy's. We will be back, but only for dessert and we will take it to go.

Neighborhood restaurant that we wish we could support more. However service and consistency in quality food has to improve. Terrible wait time, 40 plus minutes for eggs, quiche, and fruit and only to get the food order wrong. Our waitress tried hard to make a bad situation right, very young. She suggested we chime back during the week for better service. Sad given they were not that busy.
