If you're looking for a soul food restaurant that gives you service with a smile. Then Paula's is the place.. The beautiful orange painted walls.. Makes you feel relaxed.. The many different artwork piece's that hang on the wall are brilliant... It has perfect lighting.. Parking in the back.. Very good ventilation.. A very clean Stainless Steel set up for the food.. Well maintained exhaust hood for the cooks.. The food is the cherry on top.. Very affordable.. Very delicious.. Sweet potato pie.. Hmm.. A family place indeed.. Come on down to Paula's and treat yourself or a friend..

AMAZING. Freezing day just put me in the mood for some comfort food. Got a meat sampler because I am indecisive and had no idea what to get. Short Ribs were melt in your mouth so much so that I could eat them with a spoon, so unctuous and delicious. Fried chicken was crispy and juicy but not greasy and overly salty like some places. OX-TAIL WAS THE SO GOOD!!!!!....fall off the bone and suck on it later delicious! Collard greens and string beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned and the perfect complement to the other fixins.
 My only regret was that I was way too full to truly appreciate the cheesy mac and cheese, sweet potato, and yummy cornbread.

BEST PART was the customer service. Clean, attentive. and friendly staff is really what makes this restaurant great. I will definitely be back!!!

I love us. Period. To see our people in Jersey after a great exodus going west and south...my heart warms. But Paula's also made my belly full. Good service. Sweet hostess. Great gentlemen. Good food. And warm environment. Excellent stumble upon. Thank you loves. I'll be back

I'm not sure who, but I'm guessing the owner made sure the customer service was up to par. And that definitely goes a long way. After feedback about the food, he went beyond by making sure we were satisfied. Will go back!

The food was delicious! The beef ribs, collards, green beans, and mac n cheese, cooked with perfection. You could taste the food, it wasn't cooked where you just taste the seasoning. Big screen tv's, it had great atmosphere, like we were visiting family! We are from Maryland, and I can't wait to get back to Paula's Soul Food!
