I've been going there for years it's just the works have become like family friendly caring.its clean it's kept under control  most of all my kids love it there.i feel they are safe there.

Been camping here for years. I primarily tent camp in the "tent only" sites which are right on the lake and almost completely shaded by the trees.

The restrooms and showers work but are dated and probably should be replaced. Always have an enjoyable time when I stay here. Camping staff at the front gate is always friendly and helpful.

I usually camp in Michigan State parks, so I have high expectations, and it wasn't too bad. There is lake access directly from about half the sites. The trouble from this is that a lot of the sites are on slopes, which make leveling a camper challenging. There were multiple washrooms, so you don't have to usually walk too far, although some are old. The staff are out and about, but I didn't see them very attentive. Neighbors woke me up at 3 being loud and drunk by their campfire for a while, never saw any DNR. Watched a couple people bring dogs on the beach, looked at them watch from their truck, then drive away. But overall, it's a pretty good campground.
