PDX Yellow Cab is a new local taxi company. It was in the making for four years, the first major Somali-owned business to open in Portland. It's a new taxi cab company in Portland, owned and operated by drivers with years of local experience. The mostly Somali-born drivers formed PDX Yellow Cab.

I narrowly avoided being charged an absurd "flat rate" during a recent trip from the Portland Airport (PDX) where this cab was the next in the line. After telling the driver where I was going (~4 miles away in NE Portland), he said he would extend a "flat rate" for me. I know that the cab companies ARE NOT allowed to do this, and he wanted $35 for a ride that has never cost me more than $22 (I fly frequently). I promptly declined, and confirmed with the airport attendant that this is this is strictly prohibited (metered cabs cannot charge flat rate from the airport). The next cab driver (Portland Taxi) informed me that this PDX Yellow Cab company is frequently guilty of pulling such scams, over charging, making customers feel bad for wanting to be taken "too close" to the airport, etc. As a side note, I learned you have the option of choosing any cab you want in the line at PDX so, avoid this company and find another one (Portland Taxi, Broadway Cab are better options).

Terrible. I got them as a medical transport and the driver was extremely rude, when I signed the form on the wrong line he said, "youno listen to me" and when I said excuse me to him he said, "I want my money". He also literally demanded I sign for my return ride as well, told him I'll sign for that when I go home. I reported them to my ride care people and they have gotten similar complaints. I suggest Radio it Broadway can instead of these ppl who rip ppl off and are rude and obnixious

DO NOT USE this company!!!! I made a reservation 1 week in advance - - NO Show I waited 45 mins, so I had to drive to airport and pay for parking, almost missed my flight. I would give - 5 stars if possible!

My wife and I caught a cab from PDX to my son's house in NW Portland. The cab driver yelled at both of us because our destination was too short. Apparently 25 dollars is not enough money to spend with this driver. He complained the entire rode about Uber and Oregon corruption. Incredibly unpleasant.

I called and ordered a cab at 10:00 pm for pickup the next morning at 5:30. Yellow cab no-showed and did not call or answer their phone that morning. I will never use them again, call anyone else if you want to make your flight on time.
