I caught the bike riding bug while with friends on vacation in January. Upon my return to Connecticut, I researched bike shops and found my way to Pedal Power in Middletown. Katie was super helpful on my first visit. From the start, I felt like her goal was to get me on a bike that was right for me. She asked good questions about use, purpose, lifestyle, and goals. Then she used that information to show me some options. One week later when I returned to try out more bikes, Bill walked me through to my final purchase. Everyone was patient. They allowed me to ask a bunch of questions, test road a few bikes and two hours later I was driving home with my new bike. Bill even helped me pick out a trainer to use for the winter months. While I was waiting on my bike to be ready to take home, the young man (sorry forgot his name) helped me look for trails at local state parks where I could take my type of bike. All in all, for a novice, this bike shop, more specifically the friendly and helpful people, made it easy for me to start my new hobby of bike riding. Thanks Pedal Power!

Great buying experience. Very helpful staff and they seemed to have more sizes and selection than other shops in the area.

Just recently bought our sixth and seventh bikes from these fine folks. There is no part of Pedal Power I can take issue with. These are truly some fine people who obviously are passionate about what they do, and as a result do it very well. They will never oversell you on something and the service is second to none. OK I'll give them 4.9995 stars (I wish they were open one more evening during the week- every other Monday would rock).

I am so happy with the mountain bike that a worker suggested to me after giving him a background from what I was looking for which mainly was a bike that is fun to handle a few jumps and can take a beating while not breaking the bank at the same time. He suggested a specialized pitch. I went biking way more then I thought I would and it is mainly because my bike is so much fun to ride! When I'm ready to spend the big bucks on a full suspension I know I who to trust and that I won't be left unsatisfied.

The staff is amazing they helped me pick the right fat bike for me. If you need something related to bikes this is the place to go.
