It's a decent park and I would return, but is a bit lacking in amenities. Be sure to bring bags and water for your pooch.

Run down road and area is not very well maintained.  Scout statue is terrific- an iconic kc landmark. Great view of the city. A little difficult to get into and out of the park. Some courts available. No concessions or restrooms available.

Great park with a skate park, tennis and basketball courts. Summertime this place is bustling with activity. Close to the Liberty Memorial and WWI museum with the largest collection of WWI material in the country.

I've always loved going there ever since I was a little kid. I love to look out over Kansas City, day or night.

I've only visited the dog park and it's got the basics (bags, dog fountain, trash can, a few picnic tables). There's an area for large dogs & one for small. There's 2 entrances, 1 with a bigger parking lot (at the top of the hill off Wyandotte) 1 with a few parking spaces (at the bottom). Only reason for not giving 5 stars is quite a few ppl don't clean up after their dogs & the middle portion is mostly dirt but that's to be expected with all the pups romping around. I've also only gone in Fall so that might be part of it. It gets the job done though!
