Friendly, helpful people. Decent competitive pricing. Best place to find old school hot rod stuff. Not like the 70s but decent selection. With decent service. A bonus is they will still install windshield wipers at no charge. Well worth a stop in and walk around.

Jason in Service department of Portsmouth , NH was extremely helpful and used his mechanical knowledge to not just save me some money by being honest but get the job done in a timely manner despite having 6 jobs to do on a Sunday being short staffed. He called me making aware of processes and wanted confirmation from me before proceeding. I appreciate the integrity, initiative, and honesty of Jason and also the techs who helped replace my radiator on this resting day of Sunday. Ive dealt with many mechanic shops and is the best all around service Ive experienced even despite some confusion in the beginning of repairs. Five stars from me.

This place is constantly trying to rip me off - and probably you, too. I made the mistake of taking my car here for an inspection once... never again! They quoted me over $3,000 in repair work to fix it before they'd pass me. I went elsewhere and it passed with flying colors. I bought tires from here (before the later inspection debacle) and every time I go in for my free rotation they are telling me something new is wrong with this, that, or the other... never asked them to check but they try very hard to sell me on some random $2,000 work job that my main repair shop says does not actually exist. They've also refused to take my Auto Warranty for repair work, claiming no one actually accepts it... yet several other places have with absolutely no issues.

My regular mechanic isn't set up to do tires, so when the time came to replace 4 truck tires I went here to take advantage of the buy 3 get 1 free deal. It took them almost 3 hours to mount and balance them even with an appointment. I drove away and instantly felt my front end shaking through the steering wheel on the highway. Decided to take it elsewhere to have the balance checked and they said the balance of all 4 tires were way off, some being better balanced with no weights at all compared to what they'd done. So, it's okay for deals but I'll never have them work on my vehicles again.

Great Service!!!! It's not too often an Auto Parts store gets such great reviews, but this one has and deserves it. Got some new tires, very competitive on price in the Sea Coast area, but all the good reviews brought me to this Pep Boys. Went with a slightly larger tire for my Jeep and the folks at Pep Boys were patient while I decided that they would fit and looked good. Even patient enough for me to decide and mount my tires within an hour of closing on New Years Eve. I'll be back for future service.
