Car broke down on a Sunday when headed to the beach and was towed there around 11:30 am (only place open on a Sunday and they didn't close until 4 pm).Female at front desk had the worst attitude. She obviously didn't want to be bothered b/c she said they don't do transmission work. I asked if she would just look at it to see if that was the issue (the tow truck guy said he thought it was transmission related) and she reluctantly said she would. After talking about me to another customer (my daughter overheard the conversation), she said the transmission was gone and needed to be replaced which they could do Monday or Tuesday. I felt like she didn't take the time to look at my car so I refused and had my vehicle towed back to repair shop in my hometown which was 168 miles away. All I needed was transmission fluid and I my car has been running well ever since. I wouldn't recommend this Pep Boys to anyone. Not b/c they didn't fix my car, but b/c of the attitude of the clerk/cashier/manager on duty (or whatever her title is) was disgusting. You don't have to like or interact with your customers but you should always remain professional.

This place is a complete rip off they tried scamming my wife once and she gave them another try and same senerio a complete rip off stay away there is a new shop opening up in town and I hope they put these guys out of business

Broke down on a Sunday and thank god for these wonderful people who work her they were great to get us going again
