My husband and I started in a studio apartment and quickly outgrew it, so we moved to a one bedroom and now we're currently in a two bedroom apartment at Peppertree. Everybody in the office and maintenance have always been quick to help with any problems, going above and beyond on more than one occasion. We really couldn't have asked for a better first rental experience.

Place has rats mice and maintenance people are slow at getting back to you.

I moved to Connecticut from Michigan and I found a gem in living at Peppertree apartments in Groton. I found them very affordable and the property is very beautiful and well kept. I found the management extremely flexible for my needs and the maintenance staff was always here to help. I lived alone and they helped me to feel at home. I was comfortable living in first the one bedroom and then the two bedroom which was just wonderful. The swimming pool was a very nice escape and the laundry on the premises was ok. I like it better when the two bedroom had it's own washer dryer. If there was anything I think could have been improved was that the workout room could be updated. But It was still a good place to get an aerobic workout in winter. I would recommend these apartments to anyone new to the area. As for military folks...it is a perfect place to start most certainly! 5 minutes to the Coast Guard Academy...and 3 minutes to the Naval Submarine Base. Everything you need is within 5 minutes and of course the ocean, beaches etc are right here. Perfect spot between Boston and NYC for big city fun North or east! Great festivals and historical places to visit. One will never run out of fun things to do here...and you can do more because the price is right here! Definitely worth taking a look! Jeffrey

The apartment I stayed at smelled so much like mold it made my stomach hurt, my neighbors kept a towel under their door to help keep the smell out. Management wouldn't even look into it. When I moved in they didn't bother to see if the refrigerator worked and I had to wait all weekend without a refrigerator. I got a6 month lease and they pulled done wording BS on me saying I owed a 7th month of rent, and I had to talk to management to get my deposit back because they didn't bother to look at my lease to see I wasn't getting out of my lease early. Look any where else, just not here!!!!
