Mechanic John was not helpful. He put a road tire on my bike which yes I did ask for and that was cheap. But when I wanted to get a new back freewheel assembly and new chain he said I have to pay for it first before they ship it to the store. my back tire felt like it didn't have air in it so I went to another bike store to fill that and he made my back hub bearings loose when they aren't supposed to be. And he didn't even trune the wheel which means make it level to where no side to side play is visible. I highly recommend trek on main Street they are the better mechanics.

Rick and Dan are the best! Rick went above and beyond to make sure I got the bike I really wanted. He exchanged a bike I got 2 weeks before for something else, no questions, no hassles. Found the bike in Maryland and had it shipped up to Delware for me. Dan is super helpful and knowledgeable and patient. A+, you guys gained a lifetime customer.

Questionable Online experience after being a 25yr long customer..... I Was dealing with major frustrations with online sales support after they lost my bike I purchased for my sons Birthday, then Rick from Performance Bike shop in Newark, DE Came to my rescue. Lets just say without talking about pricing Rick went above and beyond anything any customer service rep has ever done for me. The store, the service, the professionalism were second to none. I highly recommend visiting Performance Newark for all your cycling needs

Let me qualify my review. I own a big dummy cargo bicycle. I do not own a combustion vehicle. I travel from city to city with the the racetrack in an 18 wheeler, then while I'm in that city I only use my bike. Out of all those cities, this is far and away the best bike shop. When I picked up my bike from getting work done, the bill was so low, I started asking questions because I thought they couldn't have done it all. They did and they did it right. The best my brakes have worked since it was new. I told them I probably needed a new rotor. No , it just needed fixing. They could have jacked me and I I would have never known. Good people. There's not enough good people in the world and here's a whole passle in one spot. If you've been trading with some downtown boutique bike shop, come on over and you'll throw rocks at your old shop. There's a creek down the road, got some good rocks.

1st time I was a bit disappointed, one person who didn't want to do their job. 800 number offered me an additional 20% off which got me back through the door and my subsequent visits have been good. Brought my bike here and like the lifetime tune up & adjustments. Decent prices on kit and shoes, large selection of bikes mainly Fuji, GT & Ridley. Good mechanics who will get you back on the road when need be.
