A relaxed, elegant West Village restaurant by Jean-Georges Vongerichten

Story

Jean-Georges brings relaxed elegance to the West Village with Perry St, located in the Richard Meier Towers and offering beautiful waterfront views of the Hudson River. In this tranquil setting, Cedric Vongerichten helms the kitchen, creating dishes that reflect his own keen instinct for balancing flavor and texture with an exquisite blend of French, American and Asian influences and ingredients. Perry St. offers a $28 prix-fixe Lunch/Brunch menu seven days a week.

Perry St can host parties for up to 20 guests in the dining room, and the full restaurant is available for large private functions for lunch or dinner. The space can accommodate up to 70 guests for seated events and up to 125 for cocktail receptions.

Probably on the pricey end, but what an excellent lunch menu. My friend told me that the fried chicken here is exactly the same as the one served in Jean-George’s main restaurant. We went for lunch on a Sunday, and you can order from the short brunch selection or a $36 set menu (starter + main + dessert). Reservations suggested. It’s off the beaten path, but the restaurant was quite during a torrential downpour!

Waited 2 years for a special occasion and it was the worst. Bland decor. No service. The waitress threw the check. Food was good but you'll be hungry. Get ready for an over $400 check for 2. Def. not worth it and I wish I had something great to say. Buddakan has similar prices but at least it is def. worth it!!!

Upscale restaurant with great service. As a vegetarian the food was good but not outstanding, the options were limited but the chef did prepare items off menu for us. All in all a fun night out.

Austere. Stuffy. Good presentation and food. An uninspired brunch. Nothing welcoming.

Outstanding meal, you pay for the great service and experience. Had fried chicken the last time I came here and it was mind blowing.
