I ordered a Sicilian pizza and pepperoni pizza rolls. The pizza had chicken, bacon, and pepperoni on it I requested the toppings under the cheese and they did it perfectly with extra crispy bacon and that thick expensive bacon too. The pizza rolls were awesome too, best pizza place I’ve found since moving to Pittsburgh. Just spectacular all around. I won’t even go into too much detail on the crust it was just perfectly cooked soft and crunchy.
They’re back!!!!! New location, same excellent pizza!! The pizza so good it gave me a heart attack! Jk but I did have one the day after eating a Large Bacon due to being fat and untreated raging diabetes I can continue telling everybody that Pesaros pizza is the best in Pgh! Pictured is ham and pineapple.
They are very accommodating with takeout. But I did have one, only one, and it was me trying to figure out what to give my buddies back their change!, I was in my zone, and non the less he situation in the past, at their older shop, that sadly that had a fire, has nothing to do with this! They're cooking back in full force! I love The Pizza where I work now! I'll order something else different on my day off. Yinz gotta support the community! No animosity! Bring your neighbors up rather than bring them down.
Pesaro's is the perfect classic pizza place, even the not pizza items are insane. Their pasta and meatballs were spot on and the buffalo calzone I ordered was an absolute gargantuan and tasted so good too, loaded to the brim with chicken and ricotta. The pizza is also just the perfect classic style, not a specialty or anything, just exactly what you think of when you think pizza. They even have yummy cake in the fridge. Our new go-to!
I want this place to work out as a lunch spot for a slice, but it just isn't working out. First time I tried them they did not answer their phone, so I drove to order in person, staff did not wear gloves between the register and food, they seemed overwhelmed, and the flavor was okay. Second time around, slow to answer the counter, staff couldn't' operate the cash registers, slow to actually cook the food I ordered as they bumbled with the cash register, and they again didn't't wear gloves. Then they stared at me when I offered a credit card and wouldn't accept it unless it was a minimum purchase amount which wasn't posted. Butler Street needs a good pizza place for a fast slice, and this could be it, but I can't watch them struggle through giving them a third try.
We moved to the area shortly after this shop had to close due to a fire and now after three long years we were finally able to try it! The pizza was well worth the wait! Good food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. This shop is going to become our pizza Friday staple.
Very solid NY pizza, for the price. If you live in Upper Lawrenceville, this is a great alternative to other establishments in the area, plus it’s easy to get to, walking. They sell slices which is very convenient! Owner was very friendly and we’ll definitely be back!Food: 5/5
