Usually a quiet Store, never real crowded. Staff is moderately knowledgeable. They do tend to have things lying about, like pocket knives and box cutters,and cell phones in random child ( toddler) height places with no staff to be found. We are her about once a week.

I went to Petco because my cat just had surgery and I needed a way to keep her from going after her incision site. I was pretty disappointed with the trip. I couldn't find anyone who could point me to where the e-collars were. When I finally found them, they did not have a selection that would fit a cat (or for that matter a small dog). Trying to figure out something that would work, I tried to find a cat surgical outfit (Amazon sells them). No such luck.  They don't have anything for cats beyond toys, food, and litter.  Their selection for products for after surgery care was abysmal. When I went up front to ask a clerk the response was "I don't know. Did you check over there?."  Not impressed.

Absolutely fantastic aquatics department. Jacki helped us and she is one of the most knowledgeable Petco associates I have encountered. Kudos to you for all of your wonderful help!

I went in to buy 2 pet rats. I was concerned no one would know anything and I'd be pretty much to myself. I went up to someone to ask for assistance, her name was Jessica. I told her I wanted to see the rats as I was interested in them as pets. She got so excited and immediately took me over and showed them to me, telling me all about them and their temperaments as well as how to best care for them. Turns out she loves rats and was VERY knowledgable. She helped me pick out the right pair and even assisted me with checking out AND taking everything to my car. I honestly felt like I made a friend when I left. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I LOVE my new little rat buddies, they are SO COOL! Jessica was awesome and it was one of the best experiences I've had at any store. I'm so grateful for her!
