Since my pets are not the most usual of pets, I have to go to a pet store to buy supplies. I can't find food for my gecko at the grocery store and I can't get crickets there either. Petco has both. I even found a setup for'raising' my own crickets. Those things are the main reason I guess I will continue to shop there. However, I have had problems finding a sales person to ask questions of or to help me with finding a product. Once, they were out of the food I feed my gecko and the woman I finally was able to ask about it made excuses, told me to come back the next day because the product would be on the shelf by then. It wasn't. That was disappointing. Petco only gets a mediocre review from me for these reasons.

Awesome customer service! The lady that works in the fish area, who has worked there for some time...she is incredible! She deserves more than a pay raise, she should have her own fish store! She is amazing...she is the reason we shop for our fish and food there.

Store was Clean, cages were clean, store was arranged well, out of supplies I needed for parakeets like grit, and food. . So I had to go to other stores. I had a hard time finding an employee to help me. I only saw 2 employees in the store the whole time I was there.

I would highly recommend not ever buying a business bred animal from them. I convinced myself to buy a sweet little female guinea pig a few months ago (even though i knew better to buy the puppy mill version of any small animal from them) and when i brought her home she was coughing, they never really bothered to treat her while she was at the store and they told me to bring her back for treatment if her eyes got “icky” at any point during the next 30 days. 

Today my baby is lying on her side barley clinging to life. Not only did they neglect to care for her while she was with them but our knowlingly holding and selling sick animals. And how conveniently she died after her 30 day guarantee, not concerned about getting my money back but just downright frustrated they sell these animals for profit no matter the condition they are in. I was assured she was fine and the only signs of sickness was “icky” eyes. 

They are the puppy mill of the small animal business don’t waste your money on a poorly bred animal that will most likely suffer from illness and have a painful death shortly after. If they are so confident on their animals being healthy they would give a lifetime guarantee. I don’t much care to ever have to watch an animal slowly suffer ever again because of greed and would recommend no body else do either.

Very clean store. The selection is much better than a box department store. However, I had to buy my cat's food online after they didn't have it in stock over a weekend. They are pretty much the only ones that carry it, so I was relying on them. You can find really cheap litter here. Employees are all really nice. Sometimes lines get backed up or nobody is at the register right away. Haven't done classes there. The grooming was excellent. Nikki does a great job every time, and I feel my dog is in good hands.
