They have awesome and very helpful staff. That being said their grooming service is way overpriced especially for this area. That being said they have great...unbeatable prices on dog food for small breads. We have a Pomeranian and she loves their chicken and pea recipe for small breads by Whole Hearted. Be sure to bring your dog(s) in while you shop so they can meet all the lovely people who work here.

There is always problems with this particular store. I can't even explain what type of manager this store has, just to say that this manager has absolutely no customer service skills at all, how this person ever became manager is a question only their Corporate Offices may be able to ever answer. Items are always in the wrong place with the wrong prices and or the wrong item is stocked in the wrong place. The only highlight to this store is on a rare occasion when they have one employee who is actually nice, courteous, and actually seems to know a little bit about what they're doing, which also seems to be a very rare thing in this particular store. I unfortunately, need to go there from time to time to get things that I need for my pet, but if I didn't have to go there, I would never go there.

Most of the time I don't have problems here. The store is always a mess though. The aisles are always blocked and there's usually bits of stuff in the floor. My cats and dog love Halo food, so that's the only reason I keep going back. Months ago, mid-spring, I found cans of expired Halo dog food. They had expired in 2016. I went back in the store in early November and the EXPIRED FOOD WAS STILL THERE. I immediately notified a manager and I sincerely hope it was removed. Definitely check your dates because they apparently don't.

Snakes and other reptiles are never held or taken out of their cages, leading them to be unfriendly and not wanting to be held later in life. Very small enclosures and overcrowding of baby snakes in one cage. Cat's litter box was overcrowded with feces and there were feces on the cage floor. Bed was a towel, which was messed up and covered in litter. I did my best to help and fix that. Deceased fish are not cleaned out from tank and end up completely eaten by other fish. Many fish do not appear to be healthy. Beta fish are kept in small jars, including babies which are seemingly too young to be sold. Many betas do not have clean jars and are swimming in their own filth. One baby beta was deceased and had not been removed from the shelves. Ferret's cage was messy and unkempt. He had two food bowls for some reason, and one was tipped over. He was eating the paper sticker which was on the bowl. Only had one toy for such an active and demanding pet. Mice are overcrowded and are no doubt repopulating in their cages. In my opinion, go to "Go Fish! Tropical". It's nearby in Cape and they have very friendly staff who know what they're doing. They have a wide variety of clean tanks and healthy fish, as well as lizards, spiders, snakes, and other creatures. They are kind to their animals, clean tanks and enclosures more than once a day, and commonly take their reptiles out of their cages to be held and for their customers to hold. The only reason to adopt from Petco is to rescue an animal's life before it is ruined.

Bought a great bed for Blue Dogg!!! It was a $69.99 bed and we got it for $34.99. Memory foam mattress and a removeable cover.
