We did their free puppy socialization class, which is great way for puppies of a similar age to play in a safe, confined area. Otherwise I usually come there for reptile things – the selection on that is so/so – their bug selection is ok, not great, sometimes the bugs are already dead so make sure to watch for this when you are picking anything up for your reptile! Otherwise we were able to rescue an animal from there that had been living there too long, they gave me a discount. Doesn’t hurt to ask for one if you’ve seen an animal there a long time!

My wife and I have been using this Petco store to obtain supplies for our cats for quite a long time now. Every time we have gone in there we have been able to find high quality products, usually exactly what we are looking for. When we have had questions the staff has been extremely helpful. The staff has an excellent attitude and provides very good customer service on a consistent basis.

I enjoyed my experience shopping at the Fantastic store. The manager approved a discount on a superior grade top quality grown out Ryunkin goldfish. I've never spent $40 on a fish before but this one made me want to do it. The man was very helpful courteous and put me at ease while I decided to spend more than I was comfortable on a fish. I am always excited to check out what this store has in stock you would be surprised at the quality you can find there.

Used to come here often, but service seems to have declined rapidly. They have jipped me a few times when buying live crickets, bought a 30 large cricket bag and only had 17 crickets in the bag. I also was ignored when trying to purchase fish, I even asked the associate for help and he said he'd be right with me, then went back to cleaning fish tanks for 20 minutes. Their fish are small to the point it doesn't look right.

Manager Dave is amazing! Customer oriented - went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied! Had no idea the West St Paul PETCO had such great employees!
