I asked to see an animal that I was interested in buying and received absolutely no help. The worker said he was “busy” and went back to doing nothing. He had a bad attitude and I’m not impressed.

They have just about anything you're looking for and most staff were nice.  The younger lady with black hair who helped us was pretty rude telling us we could not buy the goldfish we wanted.  She literally said i will not sell to you because i know how small your tank is.   We wanted one black more and that was it but she said no even though that would be the only fish for that tank.  We bought the only two fish she would sell us and one died after two days

The staff at this Petco are very friendly and, for the most part, the animals are cared for. Despite the friendly employees, I find it terribly difficult to receive service for, say, buying a fish. It's hard to find a worker that isn't dashing, dashing, or talking with another customer (understaffed?), so I usually wait my turn in line at the registers and ask them to call someone up. They always do, and they say 'someone will be with you in a minute', and they go back to their job. So I wander back to the fish, because someone was requested to go help a customer in aquatics. And I wait. And wait. And wait. Sometime two minutes, sometimes (no exaggeration here) twenty. Even though someone was called up. Was the person called ignoring the request? I don't know, but I do know that, when it's very busy, and what I want to purchase is an impulse buy, I'd rather walk out of the store without it than ask for help a second time. As a customer, I shouldn't have to ask for help a second time. Also, if someone is working around aquatics, they will ask me if I need help after I'm there for a couple minutes. 'Just looking for now.' 'All right, let me know if you need anything.' But then the employee vanishes. It is honestly the strangest customer service I have ever received. Otherwise, the store is clean, the staff are friendly, and the animal cages, tanks, and terrariums are clean, and the animals within aren't (noticeably) sick.
