I loved this place ever since I first hiked here starting a couple years back. It's a fairly easy hiking trail. It was recently burned down due to the wild fires, but it's still open. The scenery is still nice. There are bathrooms and a fair amount of parking. Great place to go.

I love that this is just a few miles away from home. There are some challenging parts, but an easy hike. Great for beginners.

For my first time there it was great. Talked with a few regulars and learned about a few of the side trails. Looking forward to my next visit.... A bit surprised to see a crew from WCA that is working on the parks regeneration from the fire, with an open CAMPFIRE cooking lunch

The Lakeview trail is an uphill trail that will test your stamina and endurance. Very popular area for the locals to exercise and walk their dogs. Currently damaged by the fires, but areas towards Jamboree are open to the public.

I would have rated Peter's canyon 5 stars BEFORE the canyon fires that destroyed half of the place in October 2017. Much of the park, and hiking trails, are closed for repair. However, OC conservation agencies are working hard to restore the damage and are always seeking volunteers. Visit OC Parks website for volunteer information.
