Petland was wonderful! It had lots of cute and amazing animals. The staff is very nice and helpful. The reason i give this a 4 star is because the store stinks but it was because it is filled with puppies and other animals in which their poop stinks. Other than that it is a wonderful and nice place to find a pet. Employees seem very dedicated into keeping up the animals.  I have spent some time in the store with my kids and have watched numerous times employees trying to catch every poop spot but it seemed impossible. Overall I love to visit and my kids do as well.

PUPPY MILLS!!!!🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕 ANIMAL RIGHTS!  DO NOT SHOP HERE! Keep in mind that even if you think that just because you’re not shopping there it’s not gonna help. It is, if you shop here you’re basically paying for animal cruelty. Go to humane society, any professional  breeders, local animal shelter or animal rescue. The puppies here are sick! They’re not in healthy conditions, do research before adopting. Like I said adopt from a responsible breeder, responsible breeders don’t sell dogs to pet stores! These pups look miserable not only that but they’re forced to be in a cage with 3-6 pups sitting around on poop, on a cage that’s the size of a hamster’s cage were they can barely move freely, dogs are probably the top Animal that needs the most space to move in. LIKE I SAID DONT SHOP HERE!!!!! Go to animal shelters and help out one of the cute homeless kittens or dogs, not only are you paying for animal cruelty here but you’re also buying a $2,000-3,500 unhealthy dog which you’re gonna have to take to the vet every second  do to the poor animal care here. THIS IS ANIMAL ABUSE.ANIMAL CRUELTY.SPREAD THE WORD AND HELP TO STOP THIS NIGHTMARE. ANIMAL LIVES MATTER

The ONLY reason there is one star is because it wouldn’t allow me to post without it ...Petland Dunwoody and “George”, the manager allowed my daughter to purchase what she thought was a $25 kitten when in fact it was a $2000 animal!!  Yes, I gave her my debit card, but we thought the purchase would be in the $200-$250 range, not $2250.98  which was debited from my account.  I was told I could return the pet for a 25% “restocking fee”, but once we got to the store they wouldn’t refund any of the purchase and wouldn’t take the kitten back because my daughter was supposed to take it to their preferred vet within 4 days of purchase. (Which was not made clear to her on the day of the purchase.)

My biggest concern is that they allowed a young person to make such a large purchase using a parents debit card without consenting with the card holder.  Another manager, Kristin, said it happens all the time!

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE.  PLEASE READ THE OTHER REVIEWS, BBB complaints (F-Rating) and comments on FB, “Shut Down Petland Dunwoody”.

They treat the animals with no respect. The poor dogs sit in their cage and get sprayed in the face for having to much energy. Poor dogs were sneezing continuously after being sprayed in the face. I  walked right out animals shouldn't be treated that way. I feel so bad for them. Would you like to be sprayed in the face by a can of pollen?

The only reason I’m giving one star is because I’ve encountered some friendly workers, but everything about this place is TERRIBLE. after two days of coming to visit the puppy I fell in love with, I finally came back to with the decision to take her home. The adopting process there was okay. I was told to take her to my home vet because there were alot of bad things about the vet they offered. After taking my puppy to the vet she was pooping blood within 2 hours of me having her. I took her back to them and there was absolutely nothing they did for me. Store owner heard about what happened and didn’t even have the respect to come and apologize for what I experienced. I’m praying I can save her, we fell in love at first sight. If she’s checked out and fixed I will have to repay my down payment which was over $500. Please be careful when getting your pets from here. Go to the vet ASAP. you only have 48 hours before they are no longer responsible.
