—We took our 2004 vehicle in for a transmission light and hard shifting. This garage checked the transmission fluid and diagnosed a cross contamination from our radiator fluid. Estimated costs were around $1100 to flush the transmission and install a new radiator. 
A nearby shop in Tecumseh charged us $549 to flush our transmission three times and fix the existing radiator. Phil wanted  $95 to diagnose our issue which consisted of checking the transmission fluid and writing an estimate. In order to get our keys returned I agreed to $50. Had he done more than check the fluid I would have no issues with his diagnosis fee.
I will not recommend Phil's to my family and friends. It pays to shop around.

I don't know how anyone could give Phil's Undercar a bad review, they have always been professional,  fair and trustworthy every time I needed service.  My Trucks alternator went out when I was in Ann Arbor and so I had to call AAA to tow it.  They wanted to tow it to a local mechanic 7 miles away...I said no, I want it towed to Phil's Undercar, which happened to be 18 miles away....It cost me $50 for the tow, but that is how much I trust Phil's Undercar to service my vehicles. I needed work on my SUV and my in-laws recommend Phil's. They are awesome, they have loaner vehicles, which helps when you need to be able to get around. They always make sure everything is done right with new parts. They are honest about what is wrong and don't pull con you into extra stuff like most dealerships try to. I drive 45 minutes just to have them service my SUV and will continue to use them.

Was getting my car ready to sell and wanted to get it serviced and fully detailed prior to that. I simply could not believe how sharp my car looked after they were done. It looked so good I had trouble selling it even. They have a customer for life and others as everyone wanted to know where I got the detail work done.

Phil's Undercar provides prompt and courteous service.  We have been taking our cars there for over 5 years.  Prices are reasonable and they do quality work.
