My dad went to college at MSU in the 1970's and spoke very highly of this place. I ordered here throughout the 90's and 2000's and the sandwiches were still amazing. Something happened when we moved back to Bozeman in 2016. The sandwiches were mostly bread. A whole sandwich here used to be stacked. It used to look like an eating challenge. Now the price on a whole is still the same (maybe slightly higher) but the inside of the sandwich is no longer robust. The inside of a sandwich is what makes it worth eating. If I want a sandwich with no innards, I could easily go to subway. I went here because it has an amazing history. I do not know if they changed owners or management but the product is no longer what it used to be.

Solid sandwich, fast service, interesting setting and tasty pickles. Not sure how clean it is to have open serve pickles like that though... Would have appreciate some type of lid to show that they're trying to keep things clean. Oh well - I'm sure the salt kills all the bugs.

Enormous sandwich! Chewy bread, great meat, fresh veggies. Pickles in a barrel in the corner. So good!

Great sandwiches, good price. My favorite is the grizzly (meatball sub). And their ice cream is also pretty tasty. Be prepared to eat outside, they have almost no inside seating.

The service was fast but unfortunately the sandwich was just ok. Accessibility to the store for handicap is terrible.
