While the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese was tasty enough, they were a bit skimpy with the cream cheese. I've never seen a blueberry bagel with that kind of color before. It's almost a light green color. Usually they are dark blue, and it didn't taste exactly the same either. That said, the coffee was good and the staff were courteous. Will probably go elsewhere for a bagel next time.
Not worth it. Stick to Bagels on Smith - HAVE AMAZING CREAM CHEESE OPTIONS or Bergen Bagel- great bagels, muffins, breakfast, cream cheese options. When you are hungry and you feel like indulging in a bagel, you get your hearts desire with those two bagel spots hands down. I told myself I wasn’t going here ever again and today hunger struck and again what a disappointment. I tend to keep it light in the mornings, but today I was hungry, hence the reason why I had already eaten half. When I eat a bagel I always skip lunch. But what a disaster of a bagel with cream cheese. There’s barely cream cheese on this 5$ bagel and it’s not even toasted and yet of course I was charged for toasting which I didn’t even ask for because they don’t get my toasting right. I will stay full until dinner, but please don’t use your “treat/cheat day” on this spot. You’ll regret it. Plus is the cream cheese variety especially the guacamole cheese. That’s the only reason why I give 2 .
This bagel does not pass as a "poppy seed bagel" in 2023. I go here and give them my money because they are close and quick and convenient and inexpensive. If you want a bagel and don't mind walking a bit further, try someplace else nearby.
NOT CELIAC SAFE! Two hours after eating 1/2 of what I thought was a gluten free everything bagel, I became violently sick! Either the bagel was not gf or there was cross contamination. When I called to notify them, the owner refused to believe I was sick because of the bagel. She insisted it was the cream cheese I bought separately to avoid cross contamination, which it was not; I've been glutened before and know the feeling. She asked me to visit the store in person and continued to negate my experience and argue with me when I came in today. They issued me a refund but refused to acknowledge that I got terribly sick from their product. Why would I make this up?! Horrible customer service!
Update I had some tummy troubles and inflammation for a few days after indulging in these bagels. After reading other reviews I have to wonder how GF these really are. It would be awesome to see the ingredients list!! The absolute BEST GF bagel I have ever had - they have plain, sesame and everything options. I topped it off with white fish salad. Being GF typically means bagels are hard to find so having one that actually tastes amazing … WIN
Asked for bacon and cheddar on a hot poppy bagel with extra bacon. . The man behind counter didn’t understand my order at all and didn’t understand me asking for one of the hot bagels that I watched come out of the over. The tall lady comes over and says the bagels are all fresh and refuses to give me a hot one even though the customer before me had one. I asked if the bagel she was giving me was still warm/hot and again she said all bagels are fresh! I paid $9 amd change for that and a LF coffee. I get back to my office amd the bagel is cold and there’s hardly any bacon. The cheese barely even melted. How hard is it to grab a hot bagel 10 feet away from the grill. Why have a window where customers see the bagels coming fresh iut if the oven if we can’t have one. If yiu are going to charge $6 for bacon amd cheese with extra bacon then you should make sure there’s extra bacon!!!!
The bagels here are great! The $5 credit card minimum and the line can be bypassed if you order pickup online. I love the strawberry cream cheese! Their bagels are on the small side though.
A breakfast favorite, Pio Bagel brings the Brooklyn Deli experience to new heights. Known for baking their own bagels in house, they certainly provide a top tier bagel amongst some heavy hitters in Downtown Brooklyn. The line may be out the door, but wait a moment, the employees are a well-oiled machine. You will not be dissapointed.
Ordered n Paid for BLT on Sesame Bagel n Cinnamon Raisin with butter. Received both with Butter, Notified the staff to Fix the order n Received again with Butter n 3rd Time I kept the Cinnamon bagel n asked them to Provide the BLT. STAFF is Rude n Counter Clerk is Arguing. Had a Disgusting Experience. Won't Recommend.
Once or twice a week, I go there to buy some bagels. Before the Pandemic, the price was $1.00 after the Pandemic, the price raised to 1.50, a 50% increase in price. I don’t know anyone who got a raise 50% of the salary. I was still visiting and blaming inflation. Recently I have visited the place, the price of the same bagel, smaller in size , now $1.82. I don’t think the owner of the place raise the salary of the hard working employees over there or any reason for this kind of price change. Some people will post their opinion others will avoid this place. At the end this type of business stop operating if owner of the business don’t become reasonable, the customers will be reasonable by avoiding this place.
