We have stayed at Pioneer Trails for the past two years and absolutely love this resort. The place is beautiful, peaceful, the sites are spacious and the Staff has treated us with the utmost courtesy. Normally that's all it takes to get a 5-star rating from me. The one draw back; the road dust is ridiculous. The managers / owners have allowed the gravel roads to be ground into dust and have chosen not to maintain them. They have a "5 mph, strictly enforced, speed limit" sign at the entrance, but it is not enforced and a very small percentage of campers adhere to it. Let the dust clouds roll. Bottom line: they need to spend some money, seal the dust and then re-gravel the roads. If you don't mind a lot of dust, then this is a great place to camp. As for me, I will not return until the dust issue is resolved.

Friendly helpful staff. Sites are large and tree lined Near to ferries. Had a blast here. Will be back

I have stayed at Pioneer Trails for 11 consecutive years. I live in the desert and escape the heat to this paradise. Rolling green lawns, towering trees, ferns and flowers everywhere, just beautiful.
