Washington park has a loop road trail to walk around and camping with fire pits down by the main beach. There's also a boat launch and bathrooms with showers. This is a beautiful park that has a gorgeous sunset against the backdrop of surrounding islands. The ferry passes by on the way in and out of the Anacortes ferry terminal. There's also a playground area for kids. There's also covered barbecue areas for large groups. Years ago I got married at this park because I loved it there so much. I always visit it in the spring and summertime.

What a great walk with my sweetie and the two white dogs. If you're not gonna stay on the pave way make sure you wear proper shirt shoes for scrambling, Pretty muddy in spots slippery on the rocks so watch your footing. This place is so cool, it had all kinds of trails amazing spots to just stop and take it all in, just a beautiful place. The dogs love it, but please pick up poop.

This has everything you could want in a park. It has a playground with open grassy areas, picnic tables and big gazebos. It has a beach that you can park next to if you don't want to walk. It has miles of trails through the woods with slight elevation changes. You can drive the loop road all the way around the park if you don't want to hike. There are spots to pull over and park to check out the rocky beach and do some exploring in tide pools. There aren't grassy fields covered in wild flowers. Great views all around of the San Juan Islands. When you get to the top there is parking up there and great views of skyline and the Marine View Dr. part of Anacortes. There are campsites too. This park really has it all!

Upside: Located adjacent to the shore, nice beach with boat launch and about 10 minutes from the ferry terminal. A beautiful grove of mixed conifers (cedar, hemlock, fir) and hardwoods cover the surrounding hills. Nice hiking trail around the point. Downside: roads are unsurfaced and poorly maintained, camping spaces are narrow and poorly suited for RVs, dump station has no cover so your drain pipe goes directly into the hole. OK for the price but would not stay there again.

This is such a gorgeous park. The loop is an absolute pleasure to drive around. Plenty of places to stop and take in some great views and so much greenery around the entire way. A perfect place to stop on your way to deception pass or to Whidbey.
