Story

As many of you know Pippo's has been here for over 50 years!! We take pride in
our little place, size isn't all that matters. We may be small but serve the BEST
breakfast in Cortez!! We have daily specials, homemade chilis, salsa, jellies, pies.
The list goes on! So if you have yet to try us out please come in we love
seeing new faces.

I am very displeased! The food was terrible (so bad in fact that I couldn’t eat any of it. My omelet tasted like mold or something rotten, and the coffee was so bad that I couldn’t even drink the first few sips.) I payed 6:00 for my kids meals that was a small bowel of box Mac and cheese with a small side of fries. And to top that off, my total came to about $30 and they took $50 from my account! I am very upset. And as a side note, I’m not a very picky person with my food but I’ve never eaten somewhere were everything I ordered was nasty. I didn’t even bother sending things back to the kitchen because ALL of the food was gross.

We were excited to try Pippos when we first saw it. The reviews were good and we tend to love little hole in the wall type places.

The excitement vanished when our food arrived. I ordered ham and eggs with a biscuit and gravy. The gravy tasted something like a boiled hot dog and the ham was a very low quality ham.

My SO got corned beef hash and was careful to ask when ordering if it was home made. The answer was "yes" so she went ahead... Home made at Pippos seems to be a flexible thing. It was pretty clearly canned corned beef, as there were small, pretty clearly processed, diced potatoes mixed in with some shredded hash browns. The meat was a bit like canned dog food.

We both kind of picked through our meals and went on our way. We didn't feel good the rest of the day.

Definitely don't recommend.

This place has great food, fantastic service and a nice local vibe to it. Fair prices and hefty portions with great variety for both breakfast and lunch. This is one of the FEW places I recommend to eat in Cortez.

Pippos is laid back & cozy, the staff is friendly, and the food is excellent! The pricing is fair and worth every penny. I recommend the Country Breakfast!

Great food friendly faces , waitresses always greet you with a smile. I personally like bisket stack . Eggs hash browns bacon or sausage gravy an biskets. Now that's a truck driver's breakfest. My second best I like to order is the chicken fried steak an eggs. All is well prepared an served in a timely manner with a smile. I recommend this restaurant to anyone an our passing through tourists for breakfest an lunch. An if you leave hungry well as my grandma would say " That's you're own fault".
