Unremarkable food, decent service, poor handling of an "issue."

The food was ok, standard steak & seafood fare that would be found at any semi-reputable chain. The prime rib was the highlight of the meal. Based on quality of food alone, I would not dine there again by my own free will, but would happily attend if invited there by someone else. 

The hostess and servers were pleasant and seemingly competent, mostly college students. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and made good recommendations.

Unfortunately, there was bread brought out before our meal that was very moldy on the bottom. Even more unfortunate is that I had already eaten a slice... When I brought this to the attention of my server, she apologized and commented that their bread was "a point of pride" for the restaurant and that she would get a fresh loaf. She thanked me for bringing it to her attention as if it would have been unusual for someone to be concerned about moldy bread.

The fresh bread brought out was also unremarkable like the meal, not really worthy of being a point of pride. As someone who has worked in the finer dining industry, I thought the handling of the issue was poor enough to warrant a 2 star or less rating. I wasn't shopping for a free meal, but a glass of wine on the house or even a visit from the manager might have colored my experience more favorably.

Nice menu,friendly server. We enjoyed our meal. Next time we  are back in Clemson (football is right around corner!) Will definitely  include as a must stop for dinner.

I went for lunch, alone, was seated in a lovely spot on the "patio", then waited. I waited for more than 10 minutes for a waitperson to even come take a drink order. No waitperson ever came. I left. I am not sure why no one came over to serve me, because the place did not seem overly busy. Terribly disappointed! I would have liked to address this with the management, but their web site does not offer a "contact us" option.

This is our regular fall - back restaurant,   because we can always count on a great meal. This has been our go to for almost 20 years.  
We even had our rehearsal dinner here (back in the day). Which they made it such a special occasion for us.
