Love PF! The staff are always friendly and the gym feels clean. They are never hesitant to show the members new things or how to use a machine. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming to anyone. I have tried the classes and really enjoyed those as well! Both memberships are great, the black card and then just the $10 a month membership as well.

Planet Fitness is franchise gym that I have been to at least 50 plus times across the United States. The negatives at this gym were locker room seat's was bare bones and not close to the lockers. The broken entry DOOR handle and other stuff. The positive of this gym were... I really could not say. I would likely recommend Planet Fitness gym across the nation but NOT this one to any beginning exerciser to due its' $10 membership fee or its' $20 fee for access around the United States for a person travelling.

Use to be a good gym but now it’s so busy you have to wait for equipment. I waited over 45 mins to get on a smith machine since most of the guys like to camp out there and take their time. I mean unsafe busy where I have thought about looking up to see if they were in violation of fire codes for the building. No gymtation? You don’t think women are scared to come to this gym because of the overcrowded machines? You would be wrong. I’ve talked to many local people that won’t go to planet fitness because it’s a rat race. They need to completely hault membership sales until things even out a bit.

I think Diana black and Jason L in the previous reviews nailed it. Overly and uncomfortably busy at this location. I’ve been to many locations but this one is very very busy and packed in. My wife and I went on Monday and had to wait 20 mins just to get on a treadmill for warmup. Not acceptable. Would help if the machines that are out of order would be repaired quickly I think right now there are 4 broken treadmills. As said in other reviews, 30-45 min wait for smith machines (3 total) is about normal. In an empty gym I can do my workout in 45 mins. Takes an hour and half to two hours here. Dumbell area in general is way to crowded. I can see how women wouldn’t feel comfortable approaching this area to try and get a spot. If you are wanting to get in and out of the gym in an hour you might want to find another gym that has less traffic. I give one star to this gym but 4 stars to planet fitness overall. Going to try the fairhope location to see if it’s less busy. Will update on my findings. Hate to leave bad reviews but it’s honest. Not looking to talk with the owner or anything. Little can be done but slow down on memebership sales and advertising which I doubt is in the plans.

It's a good gym. Love the proximity to my house and I can go to any location around the country when traveling. Can't beat the price and they gave plenty of equip. Rarely have to wait on anything.
