Planet Fitness is known for a lot of things. We’ve got tons of equipment, clean and spacious locker rooms, and the friendliest staff around. The front desk people at Pottstown are so friendly. Thats where I originally have a membership but I am not crazy about their lay down tanning beds. So I came to Norristown pf to use their stand up bed and the guy at the front desk is horrible. He’s rude, doesn’t smile and tells you to “sign in” without making any eye contact with you. He’s was unpleasant ... first impressions are everything. Just saying. Other then that I love their stand up tanning bed.

I'm not sure how people are reviewing this place as clean. It may look clean, but it's far from it. I used to work out here at night and some guy who wears the same sweat suit and beanie with glasses is here for 4-5 hours a night appears to be running some kind of personal training business. He cycles in and out groups of 5-6 guys at a time walking around, telling them how to correct their form and gives them circuit training plans. I once jumped on a machine they were apparently using in a circuit and they got all weird and started talking about me and standing around staring at me. No judgement zone? hah ok. Not to mention most these guys doing this were far from fit. The other problem with them is they tie up half the machines when they're there. So if you want to work out after dinner, good luck. Most of the resistance machines are tied up with these guys and THEY NEVER CLEAN ANYTHING ANY OF THEM USE. It's disgusting. I left this place for a much nicer gym. At $20/mo for a Black Membership this place still isn't worth it. Oh did you know you can only go to other clubs with a black membership a limited amount of times a month? Bet they didn't tell you that at sign up...

The $39.00 dollar maintenance fee was charged before even being there for 6 mos. was told on the phone it's in the contract. Always hidden fees. Make sure if you join you take the time to read it. Must say we can charge a maintenance fee from time to time!!! This gym is about the money not about the people!!

Friendly staff, very clean facility. Not sure if it's the staff or people that go there but everything is always put back where it belongs and very tidy! It's nice to not have to pay an arm and a leg to workout in a nice, clean environment.The stand up tanning booths also work extremely well. I have since stopped but when I was tanning I got a ton of compliments and they couldn't believe I received such a great tan from a GYM!
