Plato's Closet® is all about being fashion savvy and shopping smart. We specialize in gently used clothes and accessories for teen and twenty something girls and guys. All stores are independently owned franchises.

At Plato's Closet® you'll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can't live without - all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!

Our stores buy and sell girls sizes 0/1 to 18/20 and guys size 28 to 38 waist. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, and clean. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months.

Our process is quick and easy:

1. Go through your overflowing closet
2. Bring in your cool stuff
3. Walk out with new cool stuff or $$$ in your pocket!

I wish I can comment on Aribrandy's comment directly. But damn this girl sounds like she's one of those customers who give the employees a hard time. She is overly exaggerating with little details that don't make sense. 

I go here a couple times (whenever I have time), and Julia is actually cool. I asked her once if they had anymore jean jackets for men, and she went to the back to look for one and found one that I ended up buying and like. She also helped my girl find an outfit and kept looking until my girl was satisfied. 

The staff overall are nice and helpful. Not only Julia, but I've seen other employees go out of their way to help customers. 

Since I find good stuff EVERY TIME I come, I want to leave a positive review.  

Aribrandy, do your self a favor and stick to online shopping. : )

Today was by far the worst customer service I have experienced. Not only did I feel uncomfortable, but I was baffled. 

As Julia, the chasier, was ringing up my items. I was intrigued by a hat behind her. First off, I was not greeted and felt like I was forcing the employee to ring up my items as she looked at me with disgust. I suppose I should of waited for her to say " I can help who is next." Unfortunately, i did not and i presumed since she was done helping another customer that i could be helped. 

Nonetheless, I asked if they had a similar style of the hat somewhere on the floor, so I can grab it. 

She pointed towards a section. 

I said I already looked through there and did not find that style. 

She then stayed quiet. 

Thus, I asked if the hat in the mannequin behind her was for sale. ( this being the orginal hat I asked about being on the floor)

Hesitant, Julia, eventually said yes it was for sale. 

I proceeded with, well can I see it? 

NEXT: SHE SAID CAN YOU JUST COME BACk TOMORROW TO BUY IT.
Yes, that is what she said. I drove from perris to lake elsionore to pick up a friend then landed at platos. So i drove for a total of an hour. So no I was not going to come back tomorrow. 

I responded with saying sorry, no, but I live far. 

Julia: where do you live?

Now I  felt odd being asked where I live and a personal question so I said, far. Keep in mind, I was trying to be super nice since I had a friend next to me and felt extremely embarrassed I had to go to these measures to simply purchase an item. 

She asked AGAIN. No where do you live? Yes, I was asked again.

Feeling integrated I said, perris.

Julia: thats not far at all. I go there everyday. 

I stayed quiet as I was in shock in with the responses. 

I said well i still want the hat.

By this time it seemed as if she hated her job or just helping me. 

Julia: well you are going to have to wait till I'm done with this transaction. Do you still want it?

Me: yes. 

Julia, yells at Stephanie I believe her name was, another employee, to get the hat for her. 

Within a minute, the hat was given to Julia. She then rang it up and said it was final sale. 

I said thanks but can I see it first. ( I want to verify I want this item before I spend money) 

The hat was regrettably too big. The hat was a size large. Sadly, I told her I did not want the hat. 

She stayed quiet. Until it was time for me to pay. She said the total without direction on where to slide my card or if there was a following statement to be saod. I was looking at the white machine they have but didmt see a place to slide my card. Therefore, I asked if I give her the card to pay. 

She took the card and asked me to sign. I was not given a receipt in hand or asked about it. 

Overall, I am very unsatisfied and embarrassed by the customer service Julia offered. I was really looking forward to share a positive review on this store.

Staff is a bunch of rude teens. They decide what they will purchase from you. They are picky about what they do want. That would be good if the store was filled with cute clothes but they are mostly filled with jeans. Not even in style jeans. I found a jacket I liked but it had a stain on it and I asked the teen working the fitting room if I could get some kind of discount. She then tried to wipe it off with a wipe couldn't get it off and gave me some excuse that they don't do that because I could try to resell it back to them after I fixed it. IF I SOLD IT BACK ID GET LESS MONEY ANYWAY. I didn't get the jacket.
