Plato's Closet® is all about being fashion savvy and shopping smart. We specialize in gently used clothes and accessories for teen and twenty something girls and guys. All stores are independently owned franchises.

At Plato's Closet® you'll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can't live without - all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!

Our stores buy and sell girls sizes 0/1 to 15/16 and guys size 28 to 38 waist. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, and clean. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months.

Our process is quick and easy:

1. Go through your overflowing closet
2. Bring in your cool stuff
3. Walk out with new cool stuff or $$$ in your pocket!

I enjoy bringing my daughter to Plato's. It's honestly very reasonably priced. I'm giving it a two, because although you can get very nice clothing for A good deal. It's a very tight fit in there to begin with (who doesn't love having more to choose from, right?) But there are are seemingly always a ton of employees clogging up the already right fit. Some are nice and very professional, apologetic even. But for the most part you get a dirty look for asking to excuse yourself by. Today was the worst, and I'm not sure I'm returning. I brought my daughter in prepared to but her whatever she wanted. There was an employee who was extremely sweet and professional who offered to help quite a bit, but everyone else seemed quite annoyed with our presence, cutting us off and stepping in front of us to put things away. (To be fair I'm fairly sure they were reorganizing the store) I asked to use the restroom and was told that there wasn't one and I would need to go to Jason's deli. That's all good and fine, I gave my daughter another round of clothes to try on in the fitting and ran next door, leaving her "keep pile" on the bench. Upon my return I noticed her clothing I had left behind had been picked up and taken back to the racks. This frustrated me well enough, bit the response I got when i asked where the clothes went was nothing short of humiliating. When the ladies realized they had made a mistake, it seemed as if they were going out of their way to make it my fault. One woman dramatically asked me if I needed help finding the clothing and asked me do describe them to her. When I did, she acted as of what I was explaining was from another planet. Picked through a couple hangers and walked away leaving me to re find it all myself. After I found it all we went to the register to check out. When though there were 5 workers standing there speaking to another about former employees we were left standing there waiting to check out. Moral of the story is: I was prepared to spend well more than the $100 I did in that store yesterday, but as we felt totally in the way and unwelcome, we chose to go ahead and head to the mall and pay full price for what we wanted. The money doesn't out weigh the hassle in that store.

I had my husband take two bags of very good clothes and shoes to this business... everything from Buckle, express, and even Michael Kors, most of it new with tags. I was told they didn't want Any of my items but upon returning home and preparing to put everything back into my closet I noticed they kept at least 6 of my items and didn't pay me for it. This is a shady company and its clear my stuff is good enough for them to steal but, not good enough for them to purchase the correct way.

I have been a regular at this particular Plato's for 2 years and over that time period I have not once been disappointed. I have always been greeted and known as a regular shopper and one of my favorite employees there, Ant, remembers me by first name basis and always tells me the latest deals going on which is how in fact I knew to write this review. Aside from this long review I just met Jordyn today and she as just as sweet as all of her other fellow employees. If I ever do move from Killeen, this store and the people that work here will be very missed.

The staff being polite and friendly makes the shopping experience nice. You can find some nice and fashionable clothes, shoes, and accessories here for a decent price. I think its neat you can bring your clothes here to find a new closet home and make a little change in the process.

Horrible service. Gave me $11 for three pairs of good condition jeans. Wouldn't take my missme shorts because "they dont buy colored bottoms" took in brand new nike shocks never been worn and they wouldnt take them but had shoes in there with holes in the fabric. I will never go back.
