Playful Pets

Story

Our company was established in 1966 and we are still under the same management today! We are family owned and have been responsible for providing lovely puppies and lifetime companions ever since our doors first opened. Our specialty is in canines, though we do occasionally have kittens. Our regular customers particularly value the health and longevity of our pups, and many people come back to choose their next best friend after parting with their previous one. Our business is located in beautiful Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

We are across the street from the Plymouth Square Shopping Center, just minutes from Philadelphia, King Of Prussia and 476 (The Blue Route). We are SEPTA accessible.

If you are considering the purchase of a puppy from us, please call us between the hours of 10am and 7pm, Monday -Friday. If you have purchased a puppy from us and have questions or need copies of your vaccination records and warranty, we are available 7 days a week between the hours of 11am and 5pm by phone or in person. Please have your puppy's ID number available. This information can be found on the 'Available Puppies' page, on our website listed below.

I had a wonderful experience with Playful Pets back in December. They really care about their animals. You can feel confident in purchasing a dog from here because they have weekly vet visits and provide you with the paperwork. I decided to keep taking Walnut to the same vet and it has been a seamless transition. Playful Pets even called me several months after to check in. They are very helpful and willing to help you with any questions you may have. I am so thankful they helped us find our forever friend!

I have so much fun every time I am here. I’m even considering bringing my sisters here today to see the puppies. I love going to see the puppies every once in a while. The store is very clean and the puppies are very cute. The staff is great as well. I have no bad words about this place. I am definitely getting my puppy here once I get out of school!

If I could leave a negative star I would!!! Our experience was just poor. I would never purchase another puppy from this store. Customer service when we purchased was poor. Our puppy got very sick and the owner refuses to pay any of the costs of the vet bills other than the vet bill they had when the puppy was forced to go to their vet. When I requested to speak to the owner, I never was contacted until I wrote a long email about the poor service. He then claimed that his general manager was his voice. The general manager provided horrible service the night we purchased the puppy and was nasty on the phone when dealing with our sick puppy. I suggest if anyone is looking for a puppy to not just take this place off the list and to not waste your time dealing with them. Funny thing is when I pulled up in front of the store the night we purchased our puppy, I turned to my wife and said, "We really looking to buy a puppy from this place?" I should of just gone with my first instinct by the looks of the place. To follow-up the owner continues to blame the customer for his lack of professionalism and lack of customer service. It is everyone else fault that his employee is poor at her job and would rather have customers wait at the counter and have a personal phone call. I have strong shoulders if the owner wants to continue to throw blame at me. That is fine. I will take the blame for purchasing a sick puppy from him and take the blame for him not standing by what he sells. Business 101 at its best!

Nice pet store that does have puppies onsite if you're looking to purchase one. Friendly staff and clean fully stocked store.

My whole experience of buying my new puppy was wonderful. The staff were friendly and great. My vet said I think you picked a good one, my morkie is healthy and adjusting well. I would recommend this pet store 100%. Thanks playful pets.
