They told me they would have an officer call me it was a non emergency. I wait 30 min, i call them and they told me they called. They didn't. I had my phone in my hand waiting with 2 kids in the car with no call. Then they ask what was the phone number. I give it again to the (very rude operator) I even offer to drive to the station if it'll be easier and she snaps at me. No surprise they're rated 2.9

If I could give them no stars, I absolutely would. Period. As mentioned in a previous comment, there is a general "lack of compassion" in this department, specifically with the males. We have had domestic disturbances at my home on multiple occasions, usually at the fault of my father. In my opinion as someone who has A. been a victim of physical abuse and B. someone who's been around professional mental health advisers for some time now.. I think it's safe to say that when MULTIPLE children, yes these are MINORS, step forward and report physical and emotional abuse, they deserve to have their voices heard. That was not the case with the officers at Plymouths police department. I came Home to my younger sister in tears two nights ago due to the lack of support she received from the police after calling them on my father. She had told the officers he was threatening her safety and what was one of their responses? "Oh, I've been here before I remember your sister. Your parents have a right to discipline you however they see fit." I'm assuming this was probably the same officer who told me my parents had every right to hit me and, "if I was your father I would probably hit you too". That's a big statement to make to a middle schooler who is already trying to differentiate abuse from discipline. I'm not sure where else to go with this information as clearly the plymouth police department has no real concern for the safety of my family, let alone the minors in it. I agree with all negative comments on here and am glad people are speaking up on this issue. I will be stopping into the department to speak to someone in the coming days.

If you live in Plymouth, cross your T's and dot your I's. The officers are bored and look for excuses to ticket. The police department also has issues when making a report. I reported suspicious activity a few months ago and the person I talked to was very rude to me because I didn't report it immediatly on the spot and I emailed it instead of calling it in. At the time I was driving to work and when I got to work, I didn't have access to a phone, only a computer. They received the report no more than a few minutes after I witnessed the suspicious activity and they replied instantly, so I know they looked at it right away. It would have been no different if I had communicated it on the phone. But whoever this lady was that handled my report took the time to email back shamimg me and told me my that my employer should have made an exception. I'm still upset over how rude this woman was, and the police department in general. Treat your good citizens with more respect.

If I have issues I pursue justice myself because I don't want to get a murderous, rapists, thieving gestapo to handle anything.
