Cop Bob was so good with my elderly Mom. He is a TREASURE. Wayzata is SO LUCKY to have him on the job. Respectful, kind, but also not a pushover when dealing with a difficult situation. Thank you Cop Bob.

Dear Wayzata Police Chief Risvold, Please extend my sincere thanks to Officer Dustin Edberg for the assistance he provided to me and my wife on Friday evening, April 12, 2013 in downtown Wayzata. We were visiting Wayzata from out of town on that unexpectedly snowy evening. As we departed from dinner at Punch Pizza on Wayzata Boulevard and proceeded in our rental car toward the intersection of Gleason Lake Drive and Highway 12 we were not sure which direction to proceed to return to our motel. As I entered the intersection and attempted to correct the vehicle to proceed onto Highway 12 rather than Gleason, the car spun around and ended up stuck in a fresh snow bank. Amazingly, within approximately a minute or so, Officer Edberg arrived at the scene with his safety lights flashing – which helped alert others and ensured no other vehicles would be involved. Edberg then followed-up to ensure traffic in the immediate vicinity of the mishap flowed safely and smoothly. He then professionally checked my Washington driver’s license, ensured no alcohol was involved, and proceeded to assist us to remove snow from the area of the front wheels. In fact, when I offered to help Officer Edberg dig the snow (with the shovel he conveniently pulled from his patrol vehicle) he insisted on doing the digging himself! Dustin Edberg’s exemplary behavior, professionalism, and dedication to public safety would make any city, police chief or department totally proud! I highly commend Officer Dustin Edberg for his actions in representing the Wayzata Police Department. Sincerely, John & Karen Stewart Snohomish, Washington
