I love Dr pollick. The office has always made accommodations for me. Have always had a good experience and I have been to that office 3 times. I choose to pay out of pocket rather then go to someone else. have a huge fear of dentist but I feel at ease with her. These bad reviews are extremely surprising

Horrible!! Worst experience in my life. Had my tooth ripped out without it being numbed. Yes I did get a shot but I told her I was not numb. She proceeded and I screamed, shook, whaled the whole time!!!

Because I waited 45 minutes and am not in good health I was a little upset when I was called. That was completely rectified when I was called into have an x-ray by "Veronica," who was also training "Paula." Veronica was upbeat and apologized when I stated my disappointment in having to wait. Upon entering the exam room Veronica made me feel very comfortable and although she had the task of having to train Paula made me feel well taken care of. Dr. Pollick entered and joked and also made me feel like I was in good hands. The actual procedure went extremely well even though I opted for only a local anesthetic (Novocaine.) Upon leaving I was a totally satisfied patient who actually felt good by time I left. It's been 24 hours since my appointment and my discomfort is minimal. I was given very clear instructions by Veronica. I would recommend Dr. Pollick to anyone needing Oral or Maxillofacial surgery. However, you should be aware that I overheard the receptionist tell someone on the phone that the doctor is booked for 3 months solid, and wouldn't set an appointment for the person on the phone. I was given an appointment for 10 days from when I called so that 3 month waiting might be for preventive services I guess. If you have a need I would strongly suggest you call this doctors office.

GIVE KIDS A SMILE EVENT February is National Children's Dental Health month. With that in mind, the local Give Kids a Smile program was last Saturday, February 7 at the Riverhead Aquarium. The Suffolk County Dental Society dentists partnered with Stony Brook University school of dentistry students and residents. St. Charles Hospital dental department residents, and Farmingdale dental hygiene students. 80 professionals dedicating their time, together we provided preventive dental care for approximately 200 children. These patients received dental exams dental cleanings and topical fluoride treatments and preventive sealants. In addition the children and accompanying adults were given free access to the aquarium for the day. This has become an integral part of what the Suffolk County Dental Society dentists do because they enjoy their profession and feel strongly about the need for preventive care at an early age. I feel fortunate to be among many well-trained and dedicated  dentist in our community. I look forward to the event again next year.

I've been to Dr. Pollicks twice for tooth removal. I get lots of personal attention and great service. Highly Recommend
