Simply the best of the best!! The menus options are an excellent value and extremely accommodating. The dining experience overall was pleasant with the wonderful staff and owners. I highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience in the Danbury/Bethel area. The fried calamari with sweet chili sauce never disappoints and I asked for a side of fra diavlo sauce for a traditional touch which was amazing!! Highly recommend The Chicken Sorrentino was a boneless chicken breast topped with eggplant pan seared along with fresh mozzarella and fresh marinara. The burrata was a new special that left my mouth watering!!
Portofino’s is my absolute favorite restaurant in CT. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always overly satisfied with my meal. Yesterday I got the shrimp risotto which had a rich creamy taste in every bite of rice along with an abundance of shrimp! The calamari will always be my favorite here and I will be getting the hummus next time. Service was efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat a delightful meal in the area.
Really love portofino restaurant in bethel ct, we’ve been coming to this location for years, yes we’re locals our favorites are : fried calamari, Cesar salad with grilled chicken was amazing amazing juicy chard chicken wifey had beet salad with fried goat cheese, it as spectacular, MiL had Tucson salad has pecans , fig , gorgozola cheese, so delicious . Would highly recommended this location.. Besa was our waitress ,very attentive and pleasant,helpful , very knowledgeable in menu and helpful in helping with recommendations also fun personality.
Our favorite Italian restaurant in the Bethel area. Never disappoints. They catered our son's BHS football team pasta party and satisfied 55 hungry boys. They all claimed the best pasta and meatballs they ever had and I have to agree. Great job.
We had the most friendly, courteous and efficient server, Besa! We will come back to see her and to enjoy this fresh and delicious Italian food. From the gentleman who greeted us outside to the delicious chocolate ganache, this meal was spectacular. They really make you feel like family!
Portofino's is an amazing restaurant offering an even greater dining experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. The staff is very extremely knowledgeable and always make great recommendations. The lobster tail with mash potatoes, butter, & veggies and the Tagliatelle Bolognese are excellent choices! Cannot wait to return! I highly recommend Portofino to anyone looking for great quality food and even better experience!
The absolute best Italian food in Connecticut. We used them for catering, and got many dishes on the menu. Each one was incredible, high quality food done with so much attention to detail, even with such a huge quantity as we ordered ten trays of food. Outstanding food and service.

The entire entire experience was AMAZING. Louie the bartender provided exceptional service! I really enjoyed the mushroom raviloi!
Had the linguini seafood for the first time and it was amazing. Also had the pinot grigio, ask the server to pick for me, she was on point with her recommendation with the wine.
