Jr king suite. Room is cute but minimal in some ways. In room coffee includes powder creamer. There is a very small refrigerator.  No view at all. Very small balcony faces a wall. Fireplace is gas but nice. Bedding is typical hotel but not the high count sheets. The furniture is a bit run down. Location is not bad. Wine in the lobby after 4pm staff are very nice. Stand up shower is a little bigger than most. Tub is very narrow. Pocket door separates the sink from toilet for privacy. Vaulted ceilings. Parking is inside at street level. Parking is extra and the spaces are short/narrow. Quaint and charming.

I happened to get this room on an amazing deal through my company. A local told me that it had just been renovated recently to add on the convention center. The hotel was beautiful! The lobby was big, and there's a restaurant and bar toward the back of the lobby. Both looked really nice, but we did not get a chance to try it. The rooms were quite large and the "nautical themed" decor was very tasteful. The staff was very friendly and always greeted you when they saw you. I would definitely book here again.

Can't say too much about the hotel as we haven't stayed here. We have visited Monterey several times and usually frequent the hotel for drinks and/or dinner. The food is good and the staff is very nice. It has a great location where downtown ends and the wharf begins. The newly remodeled entrance is very nice and modern. If it wasn't so pricey we would probably stay here.

Jacks (restaurant inside) is a decent bar but rest is un impressive. Remodel looks good though. Thank god they are finally done. Nothing special here folks, save your money and stay at the Embassy Suites in Seaside. Oh, and their spa totally failed when I got my girl a package (but that was about a year ago to be fair)...

Beautiful room but no air-conditioning. The hotel is slightly older and need major updates. Bathroom is old and dingy. Walls are very thin. Hotel bar was pleasant but don't know how to make an old fashioned. It took 3 people to figure out how to make the drink. Disappointed. Will stay at the newly furbished Marriott next time I'm in town.
