I am unsure why anyone would rate this dental office as poor. I have gone to Post Office Lake Dental for over 20 years. Dr Hood is the best. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental work. He is always kind and patient with me. The receptionist (Crystal) is matter of fact, but can offer the best conversation if you are open to it and she isn’t slammed. April 2nd is Easter Monday. If you have off to go to the dentist, then realize this is why their office is also closed.

I have been to this dental office several times. Twice for myself and once for my two children. The office equipment is old and outdated. It's classic, which reflects the dentists. It's old school in there. The actual dentistry is decent. Very basic. The conversation is nill. The best part of this operation is the waiting room. The worst part is the receptionist. She may be a wonderful person in her personal life but her attitude at work is absolutely terrible. Talking to her on the phone: she's short, snippy (cutting you off) and she doesn't sound interested in anything you have to say to her, EVER. In person, she's the same. I called to make an appointment, trying to give them another chance and I just couldn't take it anymore.
Here's how the call went:
Me: Hi, I'm calling to make an appointment for me and my children.
Her: What's your name
Me: Spells my last name and before I could finish
Her: What insurance do you have...
Me: Kaiser Perman.....
(Hold Music)
............
Her: The next available is Tuesday March 27th
Me: Do you have anything for a Friday?
Her: We're not open on Friday......(silence)
Me........ ok, how bout that next Monday April 2
Her: We're not open that Monday......(silence)
Me: ........Are you not open on Fridays AND Monday's or just that Monday
Her: just that Monday
Me: Ok, I'll have to check around. Thank You.
Her: Uh huh. (Click)

I'm so done with them. I just can't take it. Maybe its cuz I'm from the south, but I just NEED good customer service! I already don't like goin to the dentist, then YOU wanna act like I'm BOTHERING you when I call! Nope. I'm good. Anyone that wants to try their hand, best of luck.
