I hired Potomac Bakery to create my wedding cake 1+ month out and they did an outstanding job. Not only was it deliciously baked by Shane chai and buttercream icing but it was beautifully decorated by Duba. We so appreciated the care and detail put into the cake and the reliability of the business. Thanks for a great service! Highly recommended to anyone that needs baked goods for their next special occasion.

Great little bakery!  I stopped for the first time last week to pick up a last minute birthday treat for a friend.  They had a nice selection of mini cakes, and the person working highly recommended the lemon cake. It was delicious - very soft and just the right amount of lemon flavor!  I’ll definitely be back.

I got several birthday cakes always very satisfied. But this year I had a special request a picture of a cake. Emailed pictures, I called and was told yes they can make the cake. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I was so Happy!!! Taste delicious as always! I have to share my pictures. Thank you Potomac Bakery. Made my day extra special

Ordered a raspberry mousse cake for a birthday. A bit disappointed that the "mousse" was just the jelly they put on top mixed into buttercream, not a mousse at all and had very little flavor. If it had been advertised as a vanilla cake with buttercream icing and raspberry on top...it would have been great. Not bad for the price, really. But also when we got there the place was so packed we could barely get in the door to pick it up...they should have a separate section for order pick-ups. I would go back to try a different cake but won't get that one again.

While the service was friendly, the 2 different types of cookies I got were just average, if that, especially for the price.  Personally, I can bake a cookie way better than what I got there.  Will not be back.

I haven't been in so long.  This was my neighborhood bakery growing up.  I went back. It's been 20 years.  I regret my decision. I ordered sweetheart cookies, their baker made the wrong cookies.  I ordered plain mini cheesecakes, I got fruit topped cheesecakes. I ordered small petit fours with "eat me" for an Alice party. They were 2 to 3 bites each, no layers and gooey. I ordered a king cake, it was a coffee cake,  not a pastry. I spent over 100.00 and nothing was right.  I'm so sad.  I would have brought this up when I was there,  but you don't know how things are until you taste them. I knew the cookies were wrong,  I thought that was all.. not going back.

The baker was very rude some older lady kept giving our kid a dirty look which i thought was rude and the lady who was serving us would just laugh. The cake was ok. It wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. I definitely won't be coming back. Not worth the effort of trying to find parking and then to get a dirty look from staff.

everything is always fresh. BAKERY has been their for long time when i was little use to walk their to buy elephant ears . quality never changed . excellent

I placed an order for a two-tiered birthday cake that had lots of features - flowers, drip, stripes, the works. I sent a photo for reference and they worked with me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. The result was absolutely beautiful and delicious. I’m so grateful that the artists at Potomac Bakery were able to make my specific vision come to life.

The products are yummy being family run business. They are inexpensive. A day old items are sold for a dollar which was still fresh like new. Birthday cake is their specialty would give it a try soon. Felt cookies are little expensive ranging from 30 to 80c pretty piece. Be prepared to pay by cash if the bill is below 10$.
