Since 1976, Powder House has been Central Oregon's premier ski and snow sports store. Powder House is one of the original ski shops in Bend and has been family owned for 30 years. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is dedicated to providing excellent customer service. It is our goal to help you make your buying decisions and to increase your fun on the mountain. We were driving up to Mt. Bachelor to go skiing for a few days in January and needed to get gear for the whole family. When we realized the weather was slowing us down and that we might not make it to the store before closing, I called the shop and asked if they could wait for us. They agreed and stayed open so that our family of eight could get outfitted for skiing and snowboarding. The entire staff was helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable even though we were keeping them there after quitting time. Their accommodation allowed us to hit the slopes first thing the next morning ready to go. We cannot recommend them enough. They were great!

My family and I are getting back into skiing. I needed new boots and the Powder House was my second stop. The selection was good and the prices were fair. What really made my stop a 5 star experience was the staff. They were busy, but still managed to be helpful. Tor helped me with my boot selection and spent at least 30 minutes with me answering all my questions while fitting me with a new pair of boots. He didn't try to over sell me either. He actually listened to all my requirements and narrowed the options down to two sets. I very happy with my new purchase.

I've had mixed experiences. I've been told to come in for rental skies on the phone, only to be told there aren't any when I arrive shortly after? Sometimes they are super friendly, sometimes not so much. Prices are high, but they also have a decent selection.

Really friendly staff and they always have enough of them! This place gets really busy around 5 but they're quick to get to every customer. Great customer service and you get a discount on rentals if you bring your last receipt in!

We used to always stop here and get t-shirts when we were visiting. It's a great place to rent skis or snowboards.
