As an avid cyclist for 15 years I've been in a lot of shops. The staff here are among the best I've encountered in terms of product selection, enthusiasm, and most importantly: knowledge. Chuck and Jordan stay up on the current trends and seem to have an intelligent opinion on just about everything. And Steve is in the top ten of mechanics I've dealt with, I'd let him wrench for me any day. Finally: as a sometimes-runner I was given an assist on shoe selection complete with a special order! Thanks everyone!

Over the years we have purchased a number of mountain and BMX bikes from the Monroeville shop. Staff has always been courteous and knowledgeable. The few issues we have had with our bikes have almost all been taken care of through warranty service quickly and correctly. I would say there is some flexibility on pricing for loyal customers and when purchasing models from prior years that are still in the inventory.

Expensive, Arrogant - The downstairs staff is arrogant, mouthy and unpleasant. I needed a six gear freewheel and originally went to Big Bang Bicycles in West Mifflin. The mechanic there took the freewheel off the wheel to look at it and told that he didn't have the part but could get it for $15 in a few days. I decided to go to Pro Bike and Run in Monroeville - Big Mistake!. They didn't have the part either, but had a 7 gear that they said would work. I went to pay for it and the gray haired troll-looking guy asked me if the service desk guy took it off because he wanted to charge me extra for that. I told him no, the freewheel was off when I brought it in. He starts talking about how this is how the mechanics make their money....So he says that he is not going to charge me for the labor and he rings up the part for $27 (online the part is $13-$16). Super expensive without the labor charge. Next time I wouldn't even consider this store.

Steve the bike mechanic there is pretty awesome! Very patient in explaining to me about cane creek double barrel suspension, very complicated. That in which I was clueless about. Also Steve was highly proficient in building up a complete bike for me. Excellent listener and pays close attention to detail! Good bike mechanics are hard to come by, this one comes highly recommended!! Thanks Steve!!
