AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS - Thief This company was an "Authorized" Hoover repair center. I dropped off my damaged Hoover FH15000 for warranty repair on 2/11/2017. I was told that it would take 6 - 8 weeks for the repair to be completed, if Hoover approved it. After 6 weeks of no communication I called to find out the status of my machine. This call was placed on 3/25/17 at 2:44 PM. I was told that my machine had not yet been repaired by Hoover. The service rep said that Hoover can take up to 8 weeks to repair or replace a unit and I needed to be patient. The rep assured me that he would call as soon as a decision was made on my repair. I waited another 4 weeks. After still not hearing anything, I called back on 4/26/17 at 2:38 PM. I was told by the service rep that about 2 weeks before Pro Vacuum had severed ties with Hoover and was no longer a warranty repair center. The service rep then told me that Hoover advised Pro Vacuum to dispose of all warranty units. The rep told me my unit had been thrown out and I needed to call Hoover to have my unit replaced. I asked if they planned to notify customers about this and he said they did not have plans to call any of the Hoover warranty repair customers. I was not even given an opportunity to come pick up my damaged unit and didn't even have a serial number off of my unit to show any sort of proof of ownership when calling Hoover. I then called Hoover and explained the situation. They swore they would have never authorized a warranty center to dispose of a customer unit without customer approval. I then called back and spoke to Pro Vacuum and was told that they had the "right" to dispose of my machine because I had left it with them for more than 30 days. However, they NEVER informed me that it was not going to be repaired and I needed to come get it or have it disposed of. I threatened to file a complaint to the BBB (this has been done) and police charges for theft. The rep replied that I could do what I needed and wished me a good day and hung up. Hoover called me back the next day on 4/27/17 at 1:10 PM and said they had spoken with Pro Vacuum. The manager at Hoover told me that Pro Vacuum indeed threw my machine away. She also said that Pro Vacuum confirmed with her that they had no intention of notifying warranty customers about the severing of ties with Hoover and disposal of all machines. She then informed me that I probably could not file theft charges against Pro Vacuum because on the bottom of my receipt was printed "Not responsible for loss by fire or theft". She felt terrible about the situation I was in and said Hoover would do everything they could to make it right. She confirmed that in order to make it right, they would ship me a replacement machine free-of-charge. It was shocking and disappointing just how bad, unethical and criminal Pro Vacuum was in this situation. And on top of that, they were unrelenting both times I spoke to them saying "we just did what we were told". I would hope that no other customer ever has to have this kind of terrible experience with Pro Vacuum.
