Story

Progressive Periodontics is a specialty periodontal practice. The newly constructed, modern-designed practice is located of the Haines I-5 exit in Tigard. Dr. Thanik has specialty training in dental implants, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, laser and cosmetic periodontal surgery, and regenerative periodontics. He lectures nationally and locally on topics of dental implants and periodontal therapy. He has been in practice over 17 years and is currently an associate clinical instructor at OHSU dental school, where he has taught in the pre- and post-graduate clinics for the last 11 years. The practice is unique in Portland to offer intravenous (IV) sedation. It is the first periodontal office in Portland, and the second in the entire Northwest to offer state of the art, laser periodontal surgery, and LANAP. 3-D CT scans are done for safety.

Preventative and maintenance procedures are offered by his hygienist Ashlee. Alysia will greet you and be your personal office coordinator and your insurance expert. His surgical assistant Elyce has been working with Dr. Thanik for years and is a certified oral and maxillofacial surgery assistant.
