This museum is close to the heart of Phoenix and it reminds us that this same area was home to the Native Americans as well. Take the tour of the canals and imagine what it must have been like to have built them with the tools they had. There is a map on the inside of the building which shows where many of the pueblos have been found and think about how closely modern culture has built in the same areas. The large pueblo and surrounding structures offer us an insight to how they lived. The staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable. The activities and lectures are interesting and well worth the trip!

It is a nice museum. But the structures not very impressive. More vegetation along the trails would help. Also, a lot more could be done with the Cross Cut Canal; it is not every where in Phoenix where you have flowing water like that. You could make some minor improvements to make it a asset to the property. I think there actually needs to be more information on the trail. It is really an achievement what the Hohokam built here long ago.

It is worth visiting if you are into archaeological digs. If not, skip it. If you decide to go, bring a bottle of water with you and take a museum umbrella with you for the sun. There is absolutely no shade. Walking is flat and can be easily done within an hour. Things are well displayed and the museum staff is friendly and cordial. Bathrooms are clean. There is a small museum gift shop.

Great small museum ! But i do recommend if you do have small children take an umbrella up front of the entrance . Also , they start charging 5 and over So just in case if you have 6 year olds. Be aware they do start charging at that age. Other than that i mean it was a great experience. :)

Cool little museum and very interesting ruins to check out. They've done a good job with the trail with lots of details about different points in history at the site.
