A well maintained course. With a tee time, you can use the range; it is grass but may be limited in length depending on maintenance cycle. The chipping green is not an actual green, more like a fairway; this is something that can be easily improved and should be. The practice green is comparable to the course. The staff is professional and friendly. The pace of play is slower than you would like for the quality of course and fee; another course that would benefit from two to three mid course Marshall, however I am sure this is challenging in terms of dealing with members who want an extremely leisurely pace of play.. Greens and fairways were well maintained and are firm even after several days of rain, so don't hesitate to book a time, anytime of year. Just prepare yourself for some slow players. I recommend you walk.

Fancy, huge, spacious, relaxing, casual and a lovely place to stay! I went with my husband and infant daughter and the room we stayed in had a beautiful high celling, big tub, outside patio near a golf course and mini pond surrounded by plants and bushes. My favorite part was that when it rained I could hear it on the roof almost like a softer tin cabin. Lovely place!

Stayed here for 3 nights. I wish I could give more than 3 stars, since the service and setting were great in most cases, but the mattress was so uncomfortable (worn out) that I cannot rate it any higher. The mattress was extremely worn out - so bad that it was probably worn out a couple of years ago, and now it is beyond worn out. I felt like I was sleeping in a bowl - the edges of the mattress were about 6 inches higher than the middle. After the first night of discomfort I notified the staff, and they didn't do anything. No offer to replace it, switch our room, nothing. Didn't get a good night of sleep the whole time. This really tainted what could've been a nice experience at the Quail lodge. Everything else was enjoyable including Edgar's restaurant, the golf course, and the welcoming/friendly environment created by the staff. Note: Contrary to the claim on their website, the 9-hole putting course at the lodge is not maintained to the same standard as the greens on the golf course. It's still pretty nice, but the grass is considerably longer.

Great venue for meetings and a wonderful place to stay. The grounds are what you would expect at Carmel which is "beautiful". They have kept the lodge updated, staff is friendly and overall the facilities is high end. Have been coming here for over 3 years for an annual meeting and have never been dissapointed. Overall a great place to have meetings while also having a memorable experience.

Located in a magical spot in Carmel . Slightly off the beaten path. If visiting Carmel. Dine at Edgar's Restaurant, open to the public, Super high quality cuisine at a moderate price. Lovely setting in Shangri-La type beauty. Recommended!
