Almost everything was very nice. Mercedes who was at the desk was wonderful, helpful and friendly. The room was great and comfortable. The bad part is that the neighborhood isn't the best. Prostitutes abound. Also, saw cockroaches walking on the breakfast buffet table. Those things were hard to overcome. Would be 4 or 5 stars on everything else. Maybe a guard outside patrolling in the late afternoon and evening during check-in time and an exterminator would be a good idea.

What you pay is what you get. They renovated the hotel. The room looked nice but smelled nasty. The hotel staff was very nice to offer another room but was very honest in agreeing that the other rooms would probably smell the same. They offered room spray but it still smelled. It's in a run down area too. I won't stay there again and will pay more to stay somewhere else next time.

Quality always my heart is apart of the development of and history of this bliss esablishment,dating back to when it was just the Palms. Today the quality' still remains to being in fact Bakersfield, highest achievement in value holding down the block with a beautiful promise of yet to come for. Luxury relaxation and indeed comport quality is the best you can find

Loved this place. There's nothing to complain. Great, clean room. Really good housekeeping service. They have regular hotel breakfast and it is good and fresh. Overall it was a very pleasant stay..

Room looks clean and hotel is pet friendly... hall is filled with smell of weed, room smells like rotten milk, discarded condom and countless cigarette butts on ground near stairs, area crawling with junkies... 800 mile drive = too tired to look for another place, but glad this is just for a night. Never again!!!
